Days of Our Lives Star Deidre Hall Shows Off Her Beautiful Gift From Ryan Gosling
The real-life love fest between Days of Our Lives icon Deidre Hall (Marlena) and Hollywood star Ryan Gosling continues! And this time, the Oscar-nominated movie star is saying it with flowers.
Say It With Flowers
The saga kicked off back on March 19, when Gosling was a guest on Josh Horowitz’s podcast, Happy Sad Confused. While promoting his new sci-fi blockbuster, Project: Hail Mary, Gosling touched upon how he fell in love with DAYS back when he was growing up. He commended daytime actors for the amount of material that they are called upon to perform in a short period of time, often with just one take, and singled out Hall’s portrayal of Marlena’s possession by the devil as a particular high point for him.
Naturally, Hall was touched by his kind words and responded with a video on Instagram inviting him to come visit the DAYS set, cheekily promising that this time nobody would be possessed. “And if they are,” she joked, “I’ll keep an eye on you.”
The following day, Gosling accepted her invitation, declaring in a video that was released on Project Hail Mary‘s official social media channels, “Any time, anywhere… You tell me, I’ll be there.” The actor’s wife, Eva Mendes, posted on her own Instagram, “This collab just hits different ! @deidrehall_official & RG in @dayspeacock …
Let’s gooooooo! ♥️”
Hall, who began playing Dr. Marlena Evans on DAYS in 1976, has seen her fair share of accolades over the years, including three Daytime Emmy Award nominations. But the extravagant floral arrangement of pink peonies, white delphinium, and Queen Anne’s Lace that Gosling had delivered to her at the DAYS studio really made an impression. “Ryan, just when I thought I couldn’t feel more adored,” she captioned the photo, “your ‘wall’ of flowers arrived. Unnecessary, but greatly appreciated.”
In the comments, fans and friends shared the love, including Hall’s DAYS co-stars Paul Telfer (Xander), who exclaimed, “How lovely!” and Robert Scott Wilson (Alex), who wrote, “That Gosling. Whatta guy 👏🏼 👏🏼.” Emily O’Brien (Theresa) also got in on the act, commenting, “Such a gentleman! I sense a new friendship blooming 😉 🌸
Now, the only question is, when will Gosling actually pay a visit to Salem so that he and Hall can finally meet in person?
