Days of Our Lives Recasts Theo Carver with Soap Newcomer Tyler Joseph Andrews
Abe’s son is returning to Salem! Days of Our Lives has recast the role of Theo Carver with actor Tyler Joseph Andrews, who is poised to make his debut in the Tuesday, September 9 episode. Theo was last seen on screen in August 2023, when he visited his father, who was suffering from amnesia. He was mentioned again as recently as July 2025, when he called Abe to pass along the news that he and Claire had broken up.
Coming Home Again
Andrews’s previous credits include numerous short films and roles in the movies V/H/S/Beyond, The Christmas Chain, and A Heart Full of Hope. DAYS will mark the young actor’s daytime debut.
Abe and Lexie’s son, Theo, was born back in 2003, and after a series of child actors, the soap cast Terrell Ransom, Jr. in the role in 2008. Ransom, Jr. remained in the role until 2015. (He later popped back in June 2023 for a handful of episodes to play Jerry Prentiss, a Theo look-alike!) The character was aged into a teen in 2015, with Kyler Pettis taking over until 2018. When Theo returned to Salem in 2020, the role was recast once again, with Cameron Johnson taking over the part.

Back in 2021, Theo had hoped to rekindle his relationship with Ciara Brady, as she had lost her recent memories and only remembered him and not her current beau, Ben Weston. Unfortunately, Ben was able to remind her of their love, and a brokenhearted Theo decided to return to South Africa. Having grown close to Ben herself, Claire Brady found herself in a similar situation and, having accepted a job in South Africa, joined Theo.
However, after Claire called Belle and Theo phoned Abe back in July to let their parents know that their relationship had come to an end, it would seem that Theo is once again returning home to Salem single. What kind of drama will he get mixed up in this time around? Only time will tell!
