When it comes to a favorite hangout at the Y&R studio, Laur Allen (Juliet) says, “Daniel’s [Goddard, Cane] dressing room seems to be the hub for a lot of people. I would be hanging out with him, running lines, and Bryton [James, Devon] and Christel [Khalil, Lily] and Kristoff [St. John, Neil] will come in. I’ve gotten to know a lot of the actors off camera just from hanging out in Daniel’s room. It used to be Jeanne Cooper’s [ex-Katherine] room, and even though I never met her, you can still feel her presence there.” And when it’s time to head out to shoot her scenes, Allen has one ritual. “Even though my story centered around Juliet’s earring, I actually don’t have pierced ears, so the last thing I do before I go to the set is I make sure my clip-on earrings have not fallen off,” she chuckles. “I’ve shown up with one earring missing and it caused a lot of trouble for everybody looking for it, so I want to make sure that never happens again.”
Maura West (Ava) can’t get enough of Grace and Ava Scarola, the twins who share the role of her on-screen daughter, Avery, on GH. “The babies, I actually salivate, you know? Like, I want to eat them or something!” the actress gushes. “I love them with all of my whole self — my whole self gets all shmoosy and shmoogy when I see them.” Since the girls have become more verbal, West has only been more impressed by what they bring to their scenes. “Their little ad-libs, I was like, ‘You guys are the best actors!’ They need a writing credit! I am talking to that little angel and I say, ‘Oh, you’re going to spend more time with mom’ and she says, ‘Are you going to put me in your car?’ I died. I just died. They are charming, and another great thing about them is their family. Their family is there, they are obviously extremely loving parents, not overbearing, though, and they are just a really great family. They have another daughter, who’s older, and the whole family is great to have around. Those little girls make everybody happier. They just make us all happy! So I understand why Carly wants her so badly [laughs].”

B&B’s Pierson Fodé (Thomas) admits he wouldn’t mind seeing his alter ego loosen up a bit. “I am not opposed to Thomas breaking into song,” Fodé shares. “I personally have written some songs, so it might be nice to see Thomas try doing something like that, too. I’ve also sung before. I sang in the film Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List. We had a whole karaoke singing session, so why not? It’s funny, I have friends on DANCING WITH THE STARS and I get asked these questions by them all the time. They’re like, ‘Can you dance?’ Well, I took some dancing classes as a kid. I would not call myself a dancer by any means, but as far as two left feet go, I can keep the rhythm. I can move. It’s okay. It’s not the worst [laughs]. Linsey [Godfrey, Caroline] and I often tear it up on the dance floor, so she can attest to our dancing skills. We can throw down, so we can go a little La La Land if need be. Bring it!”
When DAYS’s Eric Martsolf (Brady) hosted Legends In Concert at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, a highlight was having Deidre Hall (Marlena) in the audience to cheer him on. “It was completely out of the blue,” he shares. “Deidre emailed me two days before the show and said, ‘I’m coming.’ I thought it was so great. Bless her heart. She flew out to Vegas for the sole reason of seeing the show.” Hall’s presence created a stir. “I gave her a shout-out during the show and it turned into a mini-autograph session, which she did gracefully and happily,” he recounts. “After the show, Deidre took a picture with the cast and told me that she was very proud. I was genuinely touched. It was funny to see me and Deidre surrounded by ‘Michael Jackson’, ‘Elvis’and ‘Marilyn Monroe’.” Meanwhile, Hall praised Martsolf’s performance on Facebook, posting, “He was spellbinding. Truly his medium!”
