I had an absolutely amazing time at the kickoff night of A Tribute To Pine Valley at NYC's acclaimed Town Hall. I assumed I would have fun — what's not to like about being in a room with AMC faves Vincent Irizarry (David), Jacob Young (JR, now B&B's Rick), Michael E. Knight (Tad), Cameron Mathison (Ryan), Darnell Williams (Jesse) and Walt Willey (Jack)?

AMC, what are you thinking? That's what I was thinking watching today's show, in which Kendall dreamed about smooching Griffin in the living room of the house Zach built for her, on a couch where they'd made love many a time.

AMC gave us a serious scare this week, and it's not necessarily out of the woods — in the absence of some sort of official announcement of the show's safety made by the network, I just have to hope that the reassuring talk EP Julie Hanan Carruthers delivered to the cast this week is where this story ends.

I'm totally ho-hum on the whole Amanda-as-model concept, but one thing I am not lukewarm about is the return of Kate Collins as Amanda's heart-in-the-right-place/everything-else-in-the-wrong-place mama, Janet.

It's not that often that I'm reduced to a sobbing mess by an episode of AMC, but the Palmer memorial show certainly accomplished that trick.

YouTube has made our lives here at the Digest a lot easier — there's no more reliable way of fact-checking than going straight to the source, and with such a wide array of vintage clips available online, we frequently luck out and find the very scene readers have a question about or that we want to describe accurately in something we're writing.

I had an action-and soup-packed trip to the AMC set yesterday. To explain the latter: There is a particular tomato soup much coveted by the people of Pine Valley, and it was available to the cast yesterday.
