The Young and the Restless Spoilers for January 2: Mariah Betrayed, Mitch Taunts Sienna, and More!

It appears that Noah (Lucas Adams) and Sharon (Sharon Case) still don’t see eye to eye regarding Sienna’s kidnapping. He wants nothing more than to rescue the woman he loves, while she just wants to protect her son. Can they reach an understanding?

Sharon looks surprised when Adam (Mark Grossman) appears at the front door. What brings him over? Does he have some new information on Matt or Sienna’s whereabouts, or is he just checking in on the family?

Might there be something that Adam could do to help his nephew locate his kidnapped ladylove? Or will he take Sharon’s side and advise Noah to stay out of it for his own safety?

In a motel room, Annie (Catherine Kresge, l.) watches as Matt (Roger Howarth) checks on an unconscious Sienna (Tamara Braun) as he keeps her cuffed to the bed. Is he hoping to awaken his wife so that he can enjoy taunting her?

Matt doesn’t appear to be particularly pleased with the way Annie has been handling things for him. Does he regret entrusting so much responsibility to the crooked cop? Or is he furious that she may want out of his twisted plans?

Annie certainly doesn’t look entirely on board with this scheme as she and Matt watch Sienna beg for help. Will the detective risk everything by betraying Matt and potentially winding up as another one of his victims?

At Crimson Lights, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) light up the room with their beaming smiles when they run into each other.

Out on the patio, the pair share another kiss which would seem to indicate that neither of them have any regrets about sleeping together on New Year's Eve. But are they really ready to be so public with their affections?

What started out as a friendship has grown into something far more, but could Daniel and Tessa actually make a relationship work?

Unaware of what her wife is up to back home in Genoa City, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) finds herself once again haunted by Ian (Ray Wise), still seeing him dressed like a priest.

Mariah breaks down in tears as Ian shows her a photo of herself with Tessa and their daughter, Aria. Could the reminder of the life she’s left behind inspire her to fight back against the psychological damage that Ian has done to her?

Could this latest imaginary visit from the notorious villain finally cause Mariah to have the breakthrough she needs to face reality and begin putting her life back together? Because given how close Tessa is getting to Daniel, if Mariah doesn’t come home to her wife soon, it may be too late!
