Young and Restless’s Delia Died, Eden McCoy Debuted on General Hospital as Josslyn and More From October 14

In 2003, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) was seemingly killed by the Salem Stalker on Days of Our Lives. Jack and Jennifer had recently remarried and were co-hosting a TV show together when Jack was felled by the serial killer, who attacked him in an alley behind Salem Place. But like the other Salem-ites who had seemingly met their maker at the hands of the Salem Stalker, Jack was actually alive and being held captive on the island of Melaswen! In time, Jack was discovered alive and reunited with Jennifer, who had just given birth to their new child, son JJ.

In 2010, Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian) and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) wed on Days of Our Lives. The ceremony took place in the park while Chloe was quite pregnant with baby Parker, who they both believed to be theirs. But the newlyweds' bliss took a big hit when the truth came out that Philip was actually Parker's biological dad, and Caroline Brady had altered the tests. An even bigger surprise? The test Caroline had altered had already been altered! Parker was indeed Daniel's son.

In 2011 on Young and Restless, DNA tests confirmed that Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John, l.) was the biological father of newborn baby boy Moses. The other candidate was Neil's brother, Malcolm (Darius McCrary), as the siblings had both been intimate with Sofia Dupre, whose marriage to Malcolm soon ended in divorce. Sofia went on to marry Neil, but that union also crumbled. The story had parallels to the infamous story in which Malcolm slept with Neil's wife, Drucilla, who was hopped up on cold medication and didn't realize that the man she was making love to was not her husband. Drucilla became pregnant with Malcolm's biological daughter, Lily.

In 2013, Delia Abbott was killed on Young and Restless. The tragic storyline kicked off when Billy Abbott (Billy Miller) was driving home with Delia in the car and stopped to pick up ice cream. He left her inside the vehicle with her dog, Dash. While her dad was inside the store, Delia opened the car door and Dash darted out into highway traffic. Adam Newman swerved to avoid hitting the pup, accidentally striking Delia. When Adam got out of the car to investigate, he didn't see Delia — but when he returned home later, he learned the Delia had been hit by a car. Delia didn't survive, devastating both Billy and her mother, Chloe.

In 2015, as General Hospital's Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) got married yet again, and Eden McCoy made her debut as Josslyn Jacks. The ceremony took place at the hospital chapel and had been arranged as a surprise by Sonny. The couple's close family was in attendance, and Lucas walked his sister down the aisle. After being pronounced husband and wife, the couple retreated back to Sonny's hospital room; he had been shot and was recovering. In 2023, Wright told Soap Opera Digest of first meeting McCoy, "She was, like, the fourth Josslyn, so I was like, 'Oh, I wonder if she’s gonna stick,' you know? Because all of our Josslyns booked [other] jobs. They would just be here for a minute and gone." McCoy shared with Digest that she was nervous to approach her new on-screen mom for a picture, which she still has: "I was very nervous all day because I had no experience on that set, obviously, and here I am, like [adopts trembling voice], 'I don’t know how this works, but can I take a picture with you?' ”
