In 1985, One Life To Live's Rob Coronal (Ted Marcoux) and Cassie Callison (Ava Haddad) wed. The duo had first met in an abandoned movie theater, where Rob (who was born into a mob family) was hiding out after being shot. Cassie got medical care for him, which he desperately needed, and soon, they were just as desperately in love. After they got engaged, Rob tried to back out, fearing that his links to the mafia would endanger Cassie, but their love endured and they said, "I do." Alas, they split the following year.

In 2002, Rae Cummings (Linda Dano) and Asa Buchanan (Phil Carey) were pronounced husband and wife on One Life To Live. The bride had blackmailed her groom into the nuptials with some damaging intel she had recorded him saying during their court-ordered therapy sessions. Asa quickly began scheming to get Rae to divorce him, and ultimately, she granted his request.

In 2010, the late John Callahan aired for the final time as the shady Dr. Richard Baker on Days of Our Lives. His run on the show kicked off in November 2008. Among the dirty deeds he committed in his time in Salem, Baker switched Mia and Sami's babies (after Nicole blackmailed him into doing so), and helped Hope commit a string of assaults while she was under the influence of sleeping pills.
