In 1998, Reva’s clone, Dolly (Kim Zimmer), died on Guiding Light. A mad scientist, Dr. Michael Burke, had cloned Josh's presumed-dead love after Reva seemingly died at the hands of her archnemesis, Annie. The clone fell in love with Josh, who slept with her but didn't fall in love with Reva's genetic double. When the real Reva returned, the clone wound up taking her own life.

Brenda was reintroduced in Italy as a successful supermodel and the spokesperson for the Alliance to Save Exploited Children and was romantically linked to a movie star, Murphy Sinclair.

In 2014, Gina Tognoni (pictured with Peter Bergman as Jack Abbott) made her Young and Restless debut as Phyllis Summers. Tognoni, a two-time Daytime Emmy winner as Outstanding Supporting Actress for her run as Dinah Marler on Guiding Light who had also previously played Kelly Cramer on One Life To Live, assumed the role the year after it was vacated by Michelle Stafford. Tognoni would go on to pick up the 2017 Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress for her Y&R work.

After a heart-to-heart with Sam about "Jake" popping the question, Liz bumped into "Jake" and apologized for running off when he first asked her to marry him, then told him her answer was yes.
