In the Wednesday, October 22 episode of Days of Our Lives, spoilers tease that EJ and Chad (Billy Flynn) look back on family struggles, while Leo (Greg Rikaart) is found snooping by Rita (Maggie Carney). Also, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) make a plan. Finally, Jeremy (Michael Roark) has a talk with Thomas (Cary Christopher).     Leo (Greg Rikaart) is determined to get to the bottom of what is happening in the high-security room off the free clinic at University Hospital. It appears he encounters a roadblock now that the entrance has caution tape across it, warning people not to cross. Will he enter anyway?

    Of course Leo crosses it, but he runs into EJ’s trusty right-hand woman, Rita (Maggie Carney). She is not happy to find an interloper, never mind one who is a reporter for The Spectator. She appears to be ordering him out. Will he go?

    At his office at University Hospital, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel, r.) is sitting behind his desk when his assistant Cat's brother Mark (Jonah Robinson) appears, wanting to shake his hand. Mark was recently paroled after trying to kill EJ’s brother Chad. How will EJ react to seeing Mark?

    Mark and EJ shake hands after their discussion. Was Mark looking for a job at the upcoming free clinic or at University Hospital? Does this handshake mean that EJ has said yes to what Mark is requesting, or has he simply agreed to consider the ask?

    Rita is overseeing operations for EJ, but what is in that envelope she’s holding? Is this part of the dirty dealing EJ must be up to that he has a room with high security at the free clinic?

    At the Brady Pub, Leo talks with EJ. He is continuing to investigate EJ’s clinic’s role in the blackout, and he is probably not happy that he keeps running into obstacles to his investigation. EJ blabbed about Stephanie being the author of One Stormy Night to get him off his trail. That doesn't appear to have worked.
