Mary Beth Evans (Kayla, DAYS): “Starting with [Steve and Kayla’s] wedding, which was exactly as I had hoped it would be — surrounded by family and friends, full of love and heartfelt vows — to the painful arc of Joey going to prison. All the scenes leading up to those were heart-wrenching, family drama that I love portraying.”

Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke, B&B): “I liked that Sheila came back. That was a surprise. I know the fans were surprised.”

Gina Tognoni (Phyllis, Y&R): “I think the Mariah/Tessa story has been well-written and beautifully performed. I just love the way these actors are telling their truth.”

Kimberly McCullough (Robin, GH): “Ava getting burned. I thought that was cool. I was just amazed at Maura’s [West, Ava] eye acting. She was totally compelling sitting in a hospital bed with most of her face covered and I was really impressed. If you’re going to give that story to anyone, you should give it to her!”

John McCook (Eric, B&B): “Well, mine of course [laughs]. I think that story with Ridge and Quinn and Eric was powerful to play, and I was proud to be a part of that. The past couple of weeks, I’ve been watching the Spencer folks and that has been really strong for everybody — for ‘Dollar’ Bill and for Wyatt and for Liam and for Steffy and for, bless her heart, Sally Spectra! It’s been great to see Courtney Hope [Sally] rise to the occasion and watch her.”

Lamon Archey (Eli, DAYS): “The story about JJ shooting Theo. It was such an important, emotional and current story that brought the best out of everyone involved.”

Don Diamont (Bill, B&B): “Oh, well, for me the one that’s going on right now. No question about it. All of this has taken the father/son conflict between Bill and Liam over the years from, ‘Dad, stop interfering in my love life!’ to ‘You have gone too far and I am going to stop you.’ ”

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy, B&B): “This one we’re playing now, with Bill and Liam and Steffy, for sure. There has been so much buildup to it. I’m not really emotional when it comes to the work, but this has been such a wonderful few weeks because when you see Steffy’s tears, they are real.”
