Who’s the Bigger Player?

The action in this Young and Restless spoilers video preview for the week of May 12 begins with Victor having a meeting at the Jazz Club — with Phyllis, of all people. These two have been enemies more than once and normally wouldn’t trust each other in the slightest. “What information do you have to sell to me?” Victor asks his former daughter-in-law. He wants the information, but Phyllis isn’t going to reveal what she knows so easily. “I’m not going to give you anything until you promise me something in return,” Phyllis tells Victor.

Seeking Forgiveness

The scene switches to Mariah and Tessa outside, where Tessa is begging her wife to talk to her. “If you feel like you can’t forgive me, maybe we should try therapy or family counseling. I mean, please, Mariah, we have to find a way to work through this,” Tessa says through her tears. But a guilt-ridden Mariah clarifies, “It’s not you who needs to be forgiven.”

An Impossible Mission

The action then switches to the Newman ranch, where a desperate Claire tries to get her mother, Victoria, and grandmother, Nikki, on her side when it comes to her current relationship. “We have to change his mind about Kyle!” Claire tells the two women. While Nikki knows better than anyone how intractable her husband, Victor, can be, she also wants to be supportive of her granddaughter’s new love. “So, what is this grand scheme of yours?” Nikki asks. Claire simply smiles and beams at her grandmother. Filled with new hope, she tells her, “I want to throw a party!”
