Young and Restless Comings & Goings: See Who Else Is Back As Danny and Cricket’s Wedding Nears
As the wedding of Danny (Michael Damian) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) approaches on Young and Restless, the guest list has continued to grow. And with the ceremony scheduled to air on Friday, November 21, and Monday, November 24, the once-and-future marrieds are going to need some help putting everything together to ensure that their special day is picture-perfect. Which means it’s the just the right time for Jai Rodriguez to return as event planner Pietro. The show has announced that Rodriguez will be appearing in the Thursday, November 13, episode of the soap.
Man With a Plan
Rodriguez previously appeared on Y&R in four episodes earlier this year, which kicked off on May 28. In the storyline, Pietro was tapped to help plan a lavish birthday party for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). But his Genoa City stint wasn’t actually the host-turned-actor’s daytime debut.
After finding fame as one of the original co-hosts of the hit reality series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Rodriguez made his acting debut in a 1993 episode of All My Children as the father of a baby born prematurely on Thanksgiving. He then went on to appear in two episodes of One Life to Live as Andrew in August 2005, and in January 2012, he played Matteo, a potential investor in Sonny’s new coffee shop, on Days of Our Lives. Before Y&R, his most recent soap appearance was in June 2016 when he played Sax, a photographer for a Forrester lingerie shoot, on Bold and Beautiful.
In addition to his roles in daytime, Rodriguez’s extensive resume includes episodes of series like Nip/Tuck, Harry’s Law, Bones, How I Met Your Mother, Grey’s Anatomy, The Resident, The Rookie, Fantasy Island, and High Potential, as well as movies like Bros.
Danny and Christine’s wedding promises to be a can’t-miss event, with Y&R fan faves Tricia Cast (Nina) and Patty Weaver (Gina) returning to the soap to join the guest list for the nuptials. The show also gave fans the opportunity to vote on which of three wedding dresses Bell would wear when Christine walked down the aisle to become Mrs. Romalotti again.
