The Bold and the Beautiful Fall Preview: Steffy and Carter’s Secret, Brooke and Katie’s War and More
As the temperatures cool down, The Bold and the Beautiful fall preview promises that things will be heating up as secrets threaten to be exposed, relationships are in flux, and bitter rivalries are primed to explode. In a new interview with TV Insider, the soap’s executive producer and head writer, Bradley Bell, teased what fans can expect to see in the coming months and beyond.
Brooke Vs. Katie
B&B is gearing up to celebrate its 40th anniversary in March 2027, and the competition between Forrester Creations and Logan Designs will be a major part of that. Bell promised the “ultimate payoff between these two fashion houses with a shocking twist for the 40th.”
This fall, Katie (Heather Tom) will continue making her mark in the fashion industry, much to sister Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) chagrin. The scribe teased that as Katie revels in Logan’s success, “she’s going to make some future moves this fall that continue to be controversial [and] we’ll wonder if she’s going too far… certainly, Brooke will think she’s going too far with the next move she’s going to make.”
Bell also revealed that “Brooke is going to have a story of her own that will have some major consequences.”
Steffy and Carter’s Explosive Secret
Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) one-night stand continues to weigh heavily on both of them as they struggle to keep it a secret from their respective spouses, Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) and Finn (Tanner Novlan). Bell promised that “there will be a great rollout” to the aftermath that plays out — but he was coy about how long it will stay under wraps, saying, “You know how long secrets last. Sometimes in soaps, they can go from days to months to years, and we’ll see how that rolls out in [this story in] the months and years ahead.”
New Characters Bring New Drama
In addition to making Logan a success, Katie is also concerned about her son, Will (Crew Morrow) and his new relationship with Dylan (Sydney Bullock). In the hopes of allaying Katie’s fears about her, Dylan has brought her mother, Darcy (Kelly Sullivan), to town. “We’ll find out much more about [Dylan], and we’ll see that her mother is a charming change of pace and a wonderful addition to the show,” Bell said. “Katie’s going to keep a sharp eye on them and really have trouble accepting them, at least at the onset.”
Meanwhile, Electra (Laneya Grace) will continue to develop her relationship with RJ (Brayan Nicoletti) as they work together at Forrester, but as Bell notes, “Electra’s first love was Will [and] there will always be a part of her that longs for Will.”
Plus, some new additions to the B&B cast could create new problems in her life. Bell teased that fans are “going to learn more about Electra and meet some more of her family coming up.”
And Electra isn’t the only person whose storyline will take a turn due to a new face: Bell disclosed that there is “another man who’s going to enter Deke’s [Harrison Cone] life.”
Sheila Isn’t Giving Up
Deacon’s (Sean Kanan) affair with Taylor (Rebecca Budig) destroyed his marriage to Sheila (Kimberlin Brown), but he was shaken when Taylor declined his marriage proposal. For now, the duo is keeping their relationship status quo, but Bell revealed that “Over time, it’s going to bother Deacon [and] he’s going to continue to hope for a marriage.”
On the Sheila front, Bell shared that the troublemaker “is going to play heavily into the fall” thanks to “her desire to be with Deacon, but also with her desire to be accepted by Steffy and be a grandmother to Hayes.”
