Soap Alums Rome Flynn and Sherri Saum Land New Series
Daytime alums Rome Flynn (ex-Zende, Bold and Beautiful) and Sherri Saum (ex-Keri, One Life to Live) have joined the cast of Apple TV+’s upcoming limited series Imperfect Women. “Grateful,” Flynn posted to Instagram when Deadline broke the news. On her own Instagram account, Saum shared: “Perfect.”

Imperfect Women is based on the novel by Araminta Hall. A thriller, the plot centers around a crime that fractures the friendship of three woman, played in the series by Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men, The Handmaid’s Tail), Kerry Washington (Scandal) and Kate Mara (House of Cards). As the mystery unfolds, their lives and relationships are forever changed. The cast also includes Joel Kinnaman (For All Mankind), Corey Stoll (Billions) and Ana Ortiz (ex-Marisol, Devious Maids). Flynn will be playing Jordan, who is reportedly the love interest of Washington’s character, while Saum will be taking on the role of Zoe.
CBS soap fans will remember Flynn from his 2015-17 run as Zende Forrester on B&B, for which he won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in 2018. He went on to play R.K. on The Haves and the Have Nots and Gabriel Maddox on How to Get Away With Murder. After a run on Chicago Fire in 2024, Flynn can most recently be seen playing Frank Lucas in the MGM+ series Godfather of Harlem.
Saum made her daytime debut on the NBC sudser Sunset Beach, playing Vanessa Hart from 1997-99. After starring on the Showtime series Beggars and Choosers and appearing in series like Girlfriends and Charmed, the actress returned to soaps to play Keri Reynolds on OLTL, where she met her husband, the late Kamar de los Reyes (ex-Antonio). Saum was a Llanview resident from 2001-03, then went on to star as Lena Adams Foster on The Fosters for five seasons, reprising her role on the show’s spinoff, Good Trouble.
Imperfect Women is being adapted, written, and executive produced by Annie Weisman, who previously helmed the Apple TV+ series Physical.
