What a sweet Father’s Day for Bo and Matthew, when Matthew got to change his name from Rappaport to Buchanan. That was probably the highlight of the day for Bo and Nora, however. Nora had to rehash her transgressions in front of the judge (how she had lied about Matthew’s paternity years ago, and how marrying Daniel Colson had deprived Matthew of his sister Jen.) But seeing Matthew beam with pride about his new name, offered Nora and Bo a moment of serenity. (PERSONAL CONFESSION: This recapper got a tiny bit teary.) By the end of the episode, Bo asked Nora to please tell him what she had wanted to tell him earlier. Nora was too tired argue so she just blurted it out — Spencer is Paige’s ex-husband. (Meanwhile, poor Paige spent the whole episode trying to get a hold of Bo, so that she would be the one to break that bit of news to him. Oh well.)
John kept looking at those clippings about his father’s shooting and we saw one new clipping (well, new to us) that that cop killer was still on the loose. Well, that explains a lot. Outside of his office, Evangeline and Natalie squabbled again, neither one budging an inch.
“What is that sound? Oh it’s Spencer sucking the life out of the room,” quipped David when he arrived at the cocktail party at Lindsay’s gallery. All worlds swirl around Spencer, clearly. Kevin kept badgering Kelly with questions about her relationship with Spencer. Kelly was remaining vague so Kevin decided to give her a big kiss, in front of Spencer. Then, David advised Kelly to stay with Kevin. A confused Kelly mumbled to herself, “I’ve got to remember to eat after I work out.”
Jessica had a sweet moment with Antonio, but Tess kept struggling to get out, and eventually won. Tess ditched Antonio and met up with Ginger. Moments later, while Tess was loudly bashing Antonio no less, Antonio ran into the two girls and said he needed to talk to Jessica, a request Ginger thought was very odd as Tess always talks about Jessica in the third person.
