General Hospital Recap: Josslyn Finds A Message from Anna, Curtis is Arrested for Assaulting Isaiah
The Monday, May 18, episode of General Hospital contained some life-changing moments for several characters! Laura (Genie Francis) delivered bad news to Emma (Braedyn Bruener) and the Scorpio family; Curtis (Donnell Turner) was arrested by Det. Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett, making his debut in the role); Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) grappled with a turn of events that impacted his livelihood; Justine (Nazneen Contractor) sought out Sonny (Maurice Benard) for some cheering up; Ava (Maura West) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) swapped updates; and after a heart-to-heart with Cassius (Ryan Paevey), Josslyn (Eden McCoy) discovered a message left behind in the bunker by Anna (Finola Hughes)! Keep on reading for the rundown.
The Hand of Fate
While Jordan and Justine discussed Curtis’s determination to prove that Isaiah was responsible for the crash that injured Jordan, Curtis and Isaiah’s verbal argument at the Metro Court Gardens escalated. The confrontation turned physical and Curtis punched Isaiah, who flew backwards onto a table and injured his hand. “What the hell is wrong with you?” an appalled Portia screamed at Curtis as she ran to Isaiah’s side. “He had it coming,” Curtis hissed. PCPD Detective Joe Fitzpatrick arrived on the scene. As Isaiah writhed in pain, Portia told Joe that Curtis had instigated the assault. Joe promptly arrested Curtis.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Isaiah worried to Portia that Curtis had destroyed his hand. After examining Isaiah, hand specialist Dr. Sherman informed the couple that the doctor’s injury would require several surgeries to mend multiple broken bones and severed tendons. Isaiah was gutted at the news, fearing that his surgical career was likely over.

Musical Chairs
While at the Quartermaine mansion to meet Phoebe, Sonny ran into Gio. Gio told his grandfather about the musical showcase and confided that working with Brook Lynn was making him feel closer to his adoptive mom, Camila. Sonny commented that he wasn’t surprised that his grandson had found his way back to music, since it was such a major part of who Gio was.

Maxed Out
Emma freaked out when she broke Anna’s favorite mug and confided to Felicia that she felt guilty about being happy while her grandmother was trapped in a hospital. Mac then arrived with Laura, who had news for the family from Kevin: Anna had escaped and almost made it to Switzerland after hijacking a car. She had been recaptured by the French authorities, who were now transferring her to a hospital for difficult patients.

Gio arrived and joined the family meeting. Emma feared that being in a maximum-security facility would make Anna’s paranoia about Faison worse. She refused to accept that they couldn’t do anything to help her grandmother. Laura agreed with Emma and said that she knew someone who could be a strong advocate for Anna.
Fair Warning
As Ava and Nina caught up at Bobbie’s, Ava noticed that her friend seemed stressed. Nina confided that she was worried about Jack Brennan, who’d had a stroke in her presence at Willow’s house and had nobody else to support him. Ava then filled in Nina about how she’d been caught in the middle of a clash between Sonny and Ric that ended with Sonny’s new thug, Ethan Lovett, holding her hostage for several hours. Nina mused that it might not be a bad idea to be on good terms with one of Sonny’s bodyguards, but Ava grumbled that there was nothing trustworthy about Ethan. Before Nina headed back to the hospital to check on Jack, Ava urged her friend to be careful where the WSB was concerned.

Man Overboard
After Curtis was hauled into the police station, he insisted to Dante that his arrest was a misunderstanding. Joe was taken aback when the commissioner removed Curtis’s handcuffs. In the interrogation room, Curtis told Dante that the incident with Isaiah was just a heated discussion that got out of control when Isaiah said things he shouldn’t have. Rather than answer directly when Dante asked if he’d thrown the first punch, Curtis pinned the blame on Isaiah, ranting about how the doctor had left the scene of the accident and was now covering his tracks.
Curtis also protested that Fitzpatrick had been too aggressive with the arrest, arguing that he and Isaiah could have worked things out. Dante told Curtis that things were well past an apology and advised him to make his phone call to get bailed out. Curtis called Jordan, who made her first public outing since the accident as she arrived at the station. Curtis vented to her that Isaiah was the person who’d committed a crime, not him.

Meanwhile, Joe commented to Officer Matthews that Curtis seemed like the kind of guy who got away with things and wondered if Curtis would talk his way out of the arrest. Later, Fitzpatrick relayed the witness accounts of the scuffle to Dante. Dante gave Joe a quick rundown on the tension between Curtis, Isaiah, Jordan, and Portia.
Justine met up with Sonny at their hideaway and explained that she’d been with Jordan when her friend received a call about Curtis’s arrest. She sighed that she didn’t want to prosecute Curtis because it would just add to the hurt Jordan was already experiencing.

Wall Banger
In the basement room under Wyndemere, Josslyn considered using Cassius’s injured ribs against him and trying to escape. He reminded her that he was keeping her safe because Cullum didn’t know where she was. As they continued playing cards, Cassius asked why she’d joined the WSB, and Joss explained how tracking down and killing her boyfriend’s murderer had led her to become an agent, and the job gives her a sense of purpose. Eventually, Cassius called it a night and locked Josslyn in the bunker. She went into the bedroom and, for the first time, noticed a message written on the wall: “Anna Devane was held captive here. I was taken on 10-31-25.”

What will Josslyn do about her discovery? Who will Laura turn to for help with Anna? Will Isaiah ever be able to perform surgery again? Share your predictions and theories about what will happen next on GH in the comments below!
