The Bold & the Beautiful Comings & Goings: Actor Returns After Year-Long Absence
During the week of May 18, fans of The Bold and the Beautiful can look forward to seeing a familiar face: Dick Christie is returning in the role of Forrester Creations’ security chief, Charlie Webber. The actor made his last appearance on the show in April 2025.
Charlie’s Angles
Christie began playing the recurring role of Charlie back in 2013, telling Soap Opera Digest that his character “considers himself to be the renaissance man of security guards. He’s got instant total recall of any diamond heist that happened in the last 100 years and can detail it chapter and verse, whether you want to hear it or not. If you had to describe him in a sentence, it would be, ‘A cross between Cliff the mailman on Cheers and any of Patrick Warburton’s [Family Guy] characters.'”
Charlie’s signature storyline is his long-running romance with Pamela Douglas, played by Alley Mills. The comic-relief duo got engaged in 2018 but never walked down the aisle.
Prior to joining the B&B ranks, Christie was best known as the dad on the 1980s sitcom Small Wonder and appeared on a wide range of prime-time series, including Hart to Hart, The Waltons, Eight Is Enough, Newhart, Knots Landing and Breaking Bad.
He also played the brief but memorable role of Stanley Krakowski on Days of Our Lives in 1990 as the baby daddy of pregnant J.J. Bagwood (Patti Johns), whose twins Justin (Wally Kurth) and Adrienne (Judi Evans) were hoping to adopt. “She was giving birth, and right in the middle of her first big push, my character showed up,” Christie recalled to Digest in 2013. “He was the father of these twins, so everybody panicked wondering what this guy was going to do.” In the end, Justin and Adrienne did adopt the twins, who they named Victor and Joey.
Christie is also a screenwriter, whose credits include five episodes of Small Wonder.
