If Lucy on Bold and Beautiful looks familiar, that’s probably because you recognize her portrayer, Linda Purl. The actress has countless film and television credits on her resume, but is best known for playing Fonzie’s girlfriend, Ashley, on Happy Days, Pam’s mother on The Office, and Ben Matlock’s daughter, Charlene, on Matlock. She has also appeared in daytime before, with a short-term role as Peyton Honeycutt on General Hospital in the fall of 2022. Her B&B role mirrors her real life because she is in a relationship with Patrick Duffy (Stephen).
In November 2022, Lucy arrived with Stephen Logan at the home of his daughter, Brooke Logan, for a visit. They were joined by his other daughters, Katie Logan and Donna Logan. The girls were all happy to finally meet their father’s new lady love in person, having previously only spoken to her on the phone and online.
Lucy joined Stephen in expressing surprise when they learned that Ridge Forrester had divorced Brooke in order to remarry Taylor Hayes. However, she decided to leave a little early in order to give Stephen some time alone with his daughters before their flight home. Though both wished they could have stayed longer to support Brooke during this difficult time.
The pair found themselves back in Los Angeles again in March 2023 and stopped by the Forrester offices to visit Brooke before they continued heading north. Now that they all knew the truth about Thomas Forrester framing Brooke for calling Child Protective Services on him in order to split up her and Ridge, Lucy also expressed surprise that Taylor had known about this but still was going to go through with the wedding.
Lucy was pleased by the unexpected friendship that had formed between Brooke and Taylor in the aftermath. When the conversation turned to Bill Spencer’s bizarre new romance with Sheila Carter, she worried about Brooke with such a dangerous criminal walking free. And also agreed with Stephen that it was outrageous that Ridge was still out of town during this time. (None of them knew what Ridge was really up to!)
