Outside Company, Ava fretted to Jonathan that they were no closer to winning back Sandy and Tammy. Reva arrived and spread the happy news that Cassie had returned home safely, then she sternly asked Jonathan to see that Tammy stayed happy. Reva went inside where she hugged Josh and thanked him for bringing her sister home safely. The pair realized that they had ordered the same comfort food for Cassie and decided to take it to the farm together. Josh inquired when Reva first met Jeffrey. Meanwhile, Cassie came home to a warm welcome from Tammy and RJ. Cassie announced to her children, Sandy and Jeffrey that she wanted to celebrate her homecoming with a party. Cassie called Jonathan and extended an invitation, but he told Ava that he didn’t want to go. At the farm, Reva and Josh arrived and those assembled toasted Cassie’s return. Jonathan showed up to the strains of the Jonathan/Tammy theme. It’s “Unbelievable” how often they’re playing it. Cassie urged Jonathan to come inside, but Reva was less enthusiastic. Josh questioned Jeffrey about whether his previous work ever took him to San Cristobel, and Jeffrey denied it. Josh gifted Tammy and Sandy with candlesticks. When Sandy announced that they could pass them down to their children, Tammy grew skittish and went to put the metal candlesticks away, explaining she worried she might break them. Yep, not suspicious at all. In the hallway, Tammy collided with Jonathan, who wondered if she was happy. Tammy fled and ran out the door, where she encountered Reva. Reva told Tammy that she could ask Jonathan to go, but Tammy claimed that was unnecessary. As Jonathan watched through the window, Reva told Tammy that Jonathan had feelings for her and urged Tammy to try not to hate him. But Tammy announced that she wished she could hate Jonathan. She loves him! Cue “Unbelievable.” Josh called Olivia and as asked her to meet with him.
Alan-Michael visited Alan, who is apparently back in the institution. Gus arrived soon after, and Alan introduced the brothers. Gus wondered if Alan-Michael was there to help Alan break out of the institution, but Alan-Michael explained that he was happy to see Alan finally get what he deserved and could now leave town happy. Gus hugged Alan-Michael and welcomed him to Springfield. Alan asked for the chance to explain, but Alan-Michael just wanted Alan to leave Harley alone at Spaulding. When Gus asked about Alan-Michael’s marriage to Harley, he responded, “Young, mistake, end of story.” The brothers left and Beth came to visit her “sweetheart” Alan. He took her hand and said that it was them against the world. She promised to never abandon him and they hugged.
At Spaulding, Harley asked Mallet to leave because she didn’t want to add fire to the rumors. Dinah walked in with a plan to end the sexual tension between Harley and Mallet once and for all. Dinah asked Mallet if he had feelings for Harley or her and he answered “no” on both counts. Dinah explained that she and Harley didn’t want him either. When Mallet announced that he rued suggesting Dinah for the job at Spaulding, Harley countered that it was the best thing to happen since taking over Spaulding. Harley told Dinah that she could trust Mallet. Alan-Michael strolled in with Gus and wanted to figure out how they were all entangled, but the brothers quickly left the office. In the hallway, Gus denied to Alan-Michael that Mallet was trouble, but he admitted that Mallet was still in love with Harley. Then Gus went back into Harley’s office and asked his wife if Mallet had mentioned an interest in Dinah. Gus suggested they all double-date, but Harley didn’t believe Dinah would be interested. Mallet accused Dinah of lying: He believed she does have feelings for him. They were so busy bickering as they waited for the elevator with Alan-Michael that he got in without them, leaving Dinah and Mallet still sniping at one another. In the elevator, Alan-Michael was reunited with Beth and asked her out to dinner, explaining that he didn’t care that she is married to his father. Beth pleaded with him to make peace with Alan as the family needs him.
Michelle arrived at Danny’s room with Hope where he broke the news that Marina had called off their romance. When Michelle asked why, Danny explained that Marina believed he could never stop loving Michelle. Michelle wondered if that was the truth, but Danny insisted that he was over what had happened between them, and that his life with Marina was simple, something that he and Michelle had never been. She made an emotional plea for them to be together, but Danny wouldn’t give her the answer she wanted, so she walked out. Danny followed Michelle and kissed her. He told her that he lied: He never stopped loving her. She asked him to kiss her again, and he did.
