At Company, Gus inquired why Mallet hid his identity from him and why the heck he was in Springfield anyway. Frank arrived and blasted Mallet for his past treatment of Harley. Gus worried that Mallet wanted to win back his ex-wife….
As Olivia tried to strike a business deal with some guy, Bill slid up beside him and said that Lewis Construction was the way to go. The spouses tossed a few glasses of the bubbly on each other, which needless to say, soured the deal. Bill and Olivia made up and as they sat at the bar, Bill found a text message on Liv’s cell phone that said the answers to Phillip’s murder were in the Spaulding mansion. Bill tried to bury his suspicious and flaunted that he made a business lunch with someone. Liv was too distracted to care and made a cryptic comment that she needed him. Suddenly, they were home and started making out as the cameras panned up to the windows….
The guard threw Harley behind another set of bars where Alan was there waiting. After many terse words about Gus, Harley choked Alan, yelling at him to let Gus be his own man. The guard dragged Harley away and left her in the warden’s office. (Geez, Harley looked like she needed to blow off some steam. Might I suggest a P&G snack product, say Pringles?) In the warden’s office, Mallet revealed to Harley that he went to Company. She ordered him to stay away from her family. Mallet countered that her life was in the pen, not with the Coopers. Mallet let her outside on the balcony so she could enjoy the night air. She inhaled jasmine and that scene trigged a memory from the night that Phillip was shot….
At Company, Gus was crunching some numbers until he was joined by a now-breathing Alan. After pointedly calling Alan Dad, Gus left and phoned his partner-in-crime Buzz. Gus revealed that he got another text message about Phillip’s killer. As he hung up, someone in black jumped out of the bushes and placed a white rag over Gus’s mouth….
Excited, Tony prattled on about getting married. Michelle looked very uncomfortable. Tony slid a rose behind her ear to remind her of their days on the island (Honestly, was that something one would want to remember? Tony had been shot and Michelle was kidnapped.) … On the plane back to Springfield, Danny fondly looked at photos of Michelle and Robbie. A stranger on the plane commented on Robbie’s cuteness and asked if that pretty lady was Danny’s wife. She was, Danny said glumly. Next thing you knew, Danny was back in Springfield and told Marina why he went to Vegas. During an awkward conversation, Marina, convinced that she was about to be dumped, blurted out that she loved Danny, then quickly added that she had to go. Danny left, but when he got back to his place, Marina was there waiting for him. As Danny told Marina that he wanted to be with her, back in Vegas, Tony recited his vows to Michelle. When it was Michelle’s turn, she backed out of it. She insisted that she loved Tony but that she also loved Danny. She moved away with tears in her eyes, as Marina and Danny kissed.

When Michelle talked to Tony, she let it slip that she and Danny were in Las Vegas to get a divorce. Tony flipped and grabbed Marina, declaring that they had to get on a plane. Tony took off, while Marina talked about love to Buzz. As Zach did a dive into Buzz’s arms — representing the faith one must have in love — Marina picked up her phone and made a flight reservation….
In Vegas, Danny and Michelle toasted their old marriage and discussed the good things that came out of their union. That night, they had to share a bed because, well, perhaps there are no hotels in Vegas? Michelle admitted that she can’t believe that there was a time when she didn’t remember their love. Danny started to kiss her hand and that kiss eventually landed on her lips. When they broke away, Michelle confessed that she hadn’t felt that way in a long time. Danny apologized for kissing her and pointed out that they were hours away from getting divorced. Michelle leaned in to kiss Danny again when Tony burst in. (Wait, wasn’t he just in Springfield. Does he have a time traveling portrait?) He announced that he had found a judge that would divorce them and turn around and marry her to Tony. Michelle was hesitant, but Tony pressed the issue, so she and Danny signed the divorce papers. Tony wanted Danny to stick around, but he admitted that he didn’t want to watch his now ex-wife marry anyone else. Danny and Michelle embraced and wished each other the best. Back in Springfield, Marina told Buzz that she wasn’t going to Vegas. She then got a call from Danny who said he had something important to tell her….
Harley caught Lena on a cell phone and overheard that Lena had a daughter. Lena lied that she got the phone by paying off a guard and that she needed the phone because her daughter moves around a lot. Lena waxed euphorically about the movie star she could have been. Harley snapped at her (Lena reminded her of Nadine), but the women did admit that they were glad they were roommates. As Harley watched the clock, she daydreamed that Gus and Zach had come to take her home. Harley and Gus fell over each other saying how much in love they were. Gus swept her up in his arms and carried her off while the guards clapped. Lena yelled that Harley needed to come back to reality….
Back in reality, Gus pleaded his case to the warden over why he needed to see Harley. Harley would go free one of these days, Gus argued. Mallet hid his past connection to Ms. Cooper so it was pretty ironic when Gus went on and on about what a good cop Harley had been. After Gus left, Harley was escorted to Mallet’s office where he handed her a long list of duties. On his way out, Mallet showed Harley his private phone line and said that she could never use it, even if he locked the doors so no one could see her use it. Harley’s face lit up as Mallet left for the hour….
Back at Company, Gus talked to Buzz about Harley. When the phone rang, Zach picked it up and exclaimed, “Mommy!” Zach asked when she was coming home because he had a soccer game tomorrow. She then talked with Buzz, but when he tried to put her on the phone with Gus, she freaked and refused. Mallet watched through the window at Company as the family talked to Harley. A guard broke into the locked office and dragged her back to her cell. Gus left Company and ran into Mallet outside and asked what he was doing there. Buzz saw Mallet and warned him to stay away from the Coopers. A confused Gus wondered what was up, so Buzz introduced him to Harley’s ex-husband, A.C. Mallet….
Alex discussed the problems with the Spaulding image with Alan. Alex ranted that the wrong ex-wife was behind bars. Alan spat that Harley hadn’t even begun to pay for her crime. Later, Alan came to the prison because Lena summoned him. Alan explained the terms of the deal: He would send money to her daughter and try to convince her to visit if Lena gave him the scoop on Harley. Lena told him about Gus’s visit and Harley’s attachment to him. Lena tried to get more money out of Alan, who agreed, but added a few threats in for good measure.

Dr. Sedwick informed Dinah, Cassie and Edmund that Dinah had a calcium deficiency and that she definitely needed to avoid stress (hmm, kind of hard when you’re on a soap). An emotional Cassie left, and Edmund questioned Dinah if she tipped Cassie off to his motives of luring her to the hospital. Look who’s here — it’s Ross, who, after a brief chat with Cassie, stormed into Dinah’s room. Edmund left them alone and Ross tried to talk to Dinah about the gravity of being a surrogate. Ross yelled that Dinah was trying to take Cassie’s life, and at that, Edmund and Cassie burst in and jumped to Dinah’s defense. Ross argued that Dinah was in love with Edmund, while Cassie countered that, in the end, it doesn’t matter because Edmund loved her. When he was alone, Ross called Vanessa and asked her to come to Springfield….
As luck would have it, a divorce lawyer had the middle seat between Michelle and Danny, who are en route to Vegas to get a divorce. They turned down her services and once in Vegas, went to a chapel to get their no-hassle divorce. Surrounded by tacky plastic signs of love, Danny and Michelle looked pretty uncomfortable. The official suggested that they pick some theme music; Micelle selected “Breaking Up Is Hard To Do.” Danny grumbled that their marriage was real, not some Vegas show. The official returned but quickly passed out do to food poisoning and an allergic reaction to some bad oysters. Of all the luck! Danny and Michelle resigned themselves to the fact that they’ll have to spend the night together….
Gus examined the text message that read: the answer to Phillip’s murder was in the Spaulding house. He then made himself comfortable at a very uncomfortable looking Spaulding family dinner. In Gus’s head, he wondered if any of these people were the murderer. Lizzie started to mouth off about the hypocrisy of the Spauldings. A verbal match ensued between Gus and the other Spauldings. Despite this, Gus tried to convince them that he belonged with them. Liv and Alex offered a olive branch to Gus, while Lizzie stomped off. Gus bid goodnight and while he was outside smoking a cigarette, Olivia came out and called Gus on his act. She didn’t buy that he had forgiven the Spauldings for anything. After Gus left, Alan thanked Liv for supporting Gus. Liv went back inside and warned the ladies that they better watch their back around Gus….
Harley pointed out to Mallet that the date of his warden application was the day after she was convicted. Pure coincidence, scoffed Mallet. Um, yeah. Right. The two started bickering about the placement of his trophies and their future together in the prison. He escorted Harley back to her cell where she revealed to Lena that she and Mallet were once married. Lena noted that she still saw the sparks between them, an observation that did not sit well with Harley. Outside, Gus was battling with a guard to let him see Harley; she begged Lena to send Gus away. Lena sneaked out and made a phone call to her contact: Alan!

Jeffrey and Cassie rushed back to Springfield. When they arrived at the hospital, Dinah pretended to be ill as a concerned Edmund hovered over her. Jeffrey quickly saw through their act. Dr Sedwick said the baby was fine and departed to get more test results. An awkward conversation between Dinah and Cassie ensued, and Dinah confessed that Edmund orchestrated this scare so Cassie would come back to town. Needless to say, that didn’t sit too well with Cassie, but Dinah convinced her not to confront Edmund. In reality, Cassie gave Eddie the chance to come clean. When he didn’t, she laid into him. He did admit that he may have jumped the gun in bringing Dinah to Cedars, but he was overly concerned about the baby. The doctor returned and said that even though the baby was fine, Dinah didn’t have a clean bill of health….
A giddy Tony was all excited about getting married. Michelle? Not so much. Tony announced that he wanted to elope. In fact, he had everything lined up — if only Michelle will agree. At Company, Danny and Marina were chatting (and flirting) when Danny got a call and hit the road. He showed up at the Bauer patio. Michelle gave him the news that she and Tony were going to elope. Danny informed her she couldn’t and following a commercial break (of course) he explained why: Their divorce had not yet gone through. The soon-to-be exes danced around what they should do. Outside of Company, Marina overheard Tony making wedding plans. Tony revealed that Danny and Michelle kissed. Marina stormed off and got a call from Danny saying that he had to cancel their plans for that night. Turned out, Danny and Michelle were on a plane headed to Vegas….
Gus fished around with Olivia for clues about Phillip’s death. Frank stopped by and used this opportunity to throttle the lawyer. Frank vowed to find Phillip’s killer, while Gus made a big production (for Liv’s sake) that he finally could admit that Harley did it. Frank took off and while Liv gave Gus a cold compress (it could possibly be frozen meat). Liv went on a rant about how she was sorry that Phillip didn’t die sooner. Gus got a phone call where a disguised voice said that the answers about Phillip’s death could be found in the Spaulding house….
Back in jail, Harley learned that she was assigned to work in the office with Mallet. Um, no freakin’ way, Harley retorted. Mallet said he needed someone he could trust with sensitive paperwork. Harley asked for laundry duty so the other inmates didn’t think she was getting special treatment. (She probably doesn’t want to work with her ex-husband, either.) So, laundry duty it was for Ms. Cooper. But Lena convinced Harley to take the detail with Mallet. In the warden’s office, Mallet asked about people he used to know: Buzz, Frank and Eleni. Harley gave him some details, but eventually shut him down. After Mallet left, Harley found Mallet’s job application. She waved it in his face and said that she knew he went after this position — ending up in Springfield wasn’t the luck of the draw.

The reality of spending a life behind bars for presumably killing Phillip — or as some have deemed him “Rat bastard” — finally hit Harley. She broke down in Mallet’s arms, then pushed him away and demanded to be treated like any other prisoner. Mallet admitted that he understands why Harley hates him, but insisted that he could make her life in prison a bit easier. Mallet and Harley then looked at a photo of her boys, then he produced a photo of Gus that the surveillance video at the jail captured. Harley bluffed that he was just her lawyer whom she had fired. Mallet retorted that Gus wasn’t allowed pass the gates without the warden’s permission. After Mallet left, Harley bemoaned to the photo that she didn’t know what to do, then washed her face in a sink surround by P&G products. Two inmates burst into the cell and threatened Harley for being a cop. Lena rushed to the scene and pretended to be beaten up by Harley in order to get the other women on her back….
Gus met with his forensic contact, who revealed that the cryptic letter Gus received, had no trace evidence. Gus left for the Bauer patio where he and Buzz toasted to Harley. The men talked strategy about how they should proceed with uncovering who sent Gus the letter. Lizzie surprised Coop by showing up at the Bauer place. She explained that she assumed Coop would have missed Rocs. (Um, yeah, right.) They talked briefly before Sandy and Tammy arrived….
In a beat-up, are-you-still-in-college van, Jeffrey and Cassie headed to an out-of-town gig. Jeffrey explained that they are playing at “a really good dive bar.” He then added that his backup singer was out sick, so Cassie would be filling in. At the bar, Jeffrey urged Cassie to take a drink and told her to go along with his cover story: She was a professional backup singer. He handed her a tambourine and after an introduction, an awkward Cassie got on stage. (The guy who introduced Stake-Out sounded just like the guy who introduced them at J.Farleys. Coincidence or does this guy get around?) … At the Beacon, a naked Dinah hid in Edmund’s bed. Dinah lied that she thought Cassie and Eddie would be getting busy at the farm, so she thought she’d give them some privacy and just nurture the life that was inside of her. Edmund didn’t buy it and scoffed that she laid it on too thick. Dinah flashedback to deleting a message from Cassie saying she wouldn’t be meeting Edmund at the Beacon. Edmund tried to leave, but Dinah convinced him to stay….
After a guard carted off the two inmates harassing Harley, Lena explained that she was helping out her cellmate by playing out a scene from Cellblock Heat II. Lena admitted that she tried to make it in Hollywood and even met a guy that promised to put her pictures. And he did. She ended up on wanted posters in every post office in the country. Later, Lena took a phone call and assured that everything was going fine. Meanwhile, Mallet arranged for Harley to begin working in his office….
Coop, certain he’d found a lead to Philip’s killer, took Gus and Buzz to Philip’s mausoleum to show them that someone had left flowers there. Gus and Buzz exchanged words on whether or not to get the police involved. When Gus opted not to, Buzz accused him of trying to get Harley back by solving the case himself. Gus didn’t put up much of a fight and shared an idea on how to get the dirt in on their number one suspect: Olivia. If you want to lie like a snake, you’ve got to act like one….
Lizzie questioned Tammy about her new relationship with Sandy and insisted that she hoped the two of them were happy. Later, alone with Sandy, Lizzie wondered why he’d want to hang out with her, considering how she ran him over and caused him to have major surgery. Sandy gave new meaning to the words “turn the other cheek” and encouraged Lizzie to apologize. She apologized and Sandy admitted that he’s made a few mistakes, of his own….
Although she was a bundle of nerves, at first, Cassie quickly loosened up on stage –- shaking her tambourine and then some. When the song finished Cassie told Jeffrey she had a blast and how great she was. The moment almost led to kiss, but Cassie’s cell phone rang and they were interrupted. Cassie couldn’t hear poor Edmund on the other end, but, unfortunately, he could hear her. Edmund hung up and told Dinah that Cassie was clearly having a high old time, between the sound of glasses clinking and Jeffrey breathing heavy. Dinah told Edmund not to worry. He and Cassie were going to be parents soon. Their baby would bring Cassie back to his side. A lightbulb flashed in Edmund’s head as he decided to take advantage of that, sooner than later. Edmund coaxed Dinah into going to the emergency room at once to check on the little one she was carrying. Then, he called Cassie again, and told her not to worry, but he was taking Dinah to the hospital. It worked like a charm. Cassie instructed Jeffrey to drive her to Cedars on the double.
