General Hospital’s Michael is Single Again — Is a Willow Reunion Ahead?
Yet another Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) romance has crashed and burned on General Hospital: On the Tuesday, August 11 episode, the unlucky-in-love character called it quits with his latest girlfriend, Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell), after she drugged his ex-wife Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) drink, unwittingly endangering his two young children.
But even as Michael and Willow appear set for another nasty court battle over custody of Wiley (Viron Weaver) and Amelia (Sienna Goerisch), the surprisingly tender scenes Michael and Willow shared while she was high on molly have many fans wondering if GH is gearing up for a “Millow” reunion.
GH Fans Take Notice of Michael and Willow’s Chemistry
On the Monday, August 10 episode of General Hospital, Michael raced to Willow’s side after Jacinda admitted that she’d slipped molly into Willow’s iced coffee. With Willow under the effects of the inhibition-lowering drug, she and Michael put their long-simmering animosity aside, replete with some handsy moments and a mutual admission that they’d both liked it when they were friends.
When Rory Gibson began playing Michael in May 2025, his romance with Willow had already fallen apart, and the two actors have shared very few scenes hinting at the former intimacy between their characters. But after these scenes aired on social media, many viewers were quick to call out the on-screen chemistry between Gibson and Willow’s portrayer, Katelyn MacMullen.
“I just finished watching today’s Millow 2.o scenes,” wrote one fan, @NurseDaytime, on X (formerly Twitter). “You could lowkey see the hearts and playfulness in Michael & Willow’s eyes. The interactions [were] sweet sexy and a bit sad. I don’t know how it’s gonna happen, but I want to see more of this #Millow 2.0.”
“I want to see more of Michael + Willow,” agreed another fan, @DeAnnaLouWells, also on X. “They have that chemistry + that angst in their story.”
Teased a third viewer, @GHFan10130 on X, “Me seeing the timeline finally seeing the chemistry with Millow 2.0 that i been [seeing] since last year lol.”
That the following episode saw Michael end his relationship with Jacinda — and send her out of town — only made fans more convinced that GH is planning to give Michael and Willow another shot at happily ever after. Wrote @MsJoiBella on X, “Jacinda leaving will leave the door open for Willow & Michael.”
Can Michael and Willow Find Their Way Back to Each Other?
Of course, if Michael and Willow do get back together, they will have to process a lot of hurt and heartbreak on both sides.
The characters first connected as friends in 2018 as they were each grieving a child — Willow, the son she had given up for adoption, and Michael, the son he shared with Nelle (Chloe Lanier) whom he believed died at birth. Ultimately, it would be revealed that Willow’s baby had died, and Michael’s had survived. That son, Wiley, was later adopted by Willow, and Michael and Willow married in 2020 to fend off Nelle’s attempt to secure custody.
Though they annulled that marriage in the end, they eventually separated from their respective partners — Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) for him, Chase (Josh Swickard) for her — and remarried. Their daughter, Amelia, was born in 2023.
Then, in 2024, things fell apart. Willow developed an attraction to Michael’s uncle, Drew (Cameron Mathison), and when he found out they’d kissed, Michael got drunk and slept with Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), conceiving a daughter, Daisy. Willow wound up sleeping with Drew, which was caught on the nanny cam in the Quartermaine nursery. Michael and Willow divorced in 2025 and she married Drew, while he was awarded primary custody of the kids.
Willow is now poised to divorce Drew — and is threatening to take Michael back to family court to secure a more favorable custody arrangement.
While Michael and Willow’s current dynamic is far from lovey-dovey, soap couples have come back from worse betrayals and heartache — and more divorces. Michael’s own parents, Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny (Maurice Benard), married each other a whopping five times. So maybe the question isn’t whether Michael and Willow can forgive each other — it’s whether they can stay away from each other.
