General Hospital Recap: Jordan Clings to Life as Carly Accuses Danny & Charlotte of Causing Crash

Comments

The Wednesday, April 8, episode of General Hospital, was full of tense moments! A car crash left Jordan (Tanisha Harper) fighting for her life as Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) worked together to free her from the vehicle; Carly (Laura Wright) suspected Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) were responsible for the accident; Lulu (Alexa Havins) turned to Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) for a top-secret house call to treat Rocco (Finn Carr); Gio (Giovanni Mazza) rediscovered his love of performing at the opening night of Charlie’s Pub as Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy) questions raised a red flag for Emma (Braedyn Bruener); and Cassius (Ryan Paevey) hand-delivered Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) to Wyndemere, where she begged Sidwell (Carlo Rota) for a second chance. Get all the details below!

Crash Course

When Carly arrived home and found Valentin in the living room, she snapped at him for continuing to put their lives at risk. She then huffed that she was frustrated because Sonny hadn’t listened to her about staying away from Marco’s funeral, Lucas didn’t listen when she said it was a bad idea that he stay at Wyndemere, and Valentin didn’t listen to her either when she told him to stay hidden in the attic. Carly and Valentin’s heated bickering led to a heated kiss, but her phone rang before things progressed further. It was Charlotte, calling from Danny’s phone, to speak with her father. Explaining that they’d had car trouble and were stranded, Charlotte asked her dad to come help them (not wanting to alert her mom and risk being put on police guard again). Carly insisted on accompanying Valentin, so they headed out to Route 91.

Meanwhile, Jordan and Curtis were passed out in her car, having hit the guard rail when she swerved to avoid the other car that had been careening toward them. Curtis regained consciousness first, and when he pulled Jordan away from the steering wheel, he saw how badly her face was cut from the shattered glass of the windshield. Smelling gas, he climbed out of the passenger side and tried to open the driver’s door to save Jordan, who was still unconscious, but the door was stuck, and his phone was broken due to the wreck. Noticing another car approaching, Curtis flagged it down for help. The people in the car turned out to be Carly and Valentin, so Valentin stayed to help Curtis while Carly went on to find Charlotte and Danny. Curtis was shocked when he realized the Good Samaritan who had come to his aid was Valentin. After Valentin called in the accident, he and Curtis worked together to get the door open as the car continued to leak gas. Seconds after they pulled Jordan out, the car went up in a burst of flames! As Curtis begged a still-unconscious Jordan to stay with him, they heard sirens approach, and Valentin slipped off into the woods.

Down the road, Carly found Danny and Charlotte standing in front of her banged-up car. Danny claimed he had been driving, and Carly quickly ushered the teens into her vehicle and brought them back to her house. She called Corinthos Towing to take care of the car, instructing them to avoid Route 91, deliver the car back to her house after it was repaired, and leave no record of the incident. Once Carly hung up, Charlotte demanded to know where her father was, so Carly told the kids that Valentin had stopped to help someone. Then she asked Charlotte and Danny if they’d caused the accident on Route 91, a few miles away from where she’d picked them up.

House Call

Lulu and Rocco waited for Isaiah to get to their house to treat his infected hand. Since Rocco’s fever was climbing, Lulu stated that she would have to take him to the E.R. if Dr. Gannon didn’t arrive soon, and they both worried about the potential consequences that would come with having to answer questions about the injury. Thankfully, Isaiah showed up and determined that Rocco likely had a dangerous staph infection. He urged Lulu to take her son to G.H., but treated Rocco at the house when she explained that going to the hospital was less than ideal. After Rocco went upstairs to bed, Lulu offered to give Isaiah an explanation, but he insisted none was needed as she was Lucky’s sister. He did warn her, however, that if she had to take Rocco to the hospital, they would ask questions, but as long as Rocco took the antibiotics and his fever went down, he should be fine. Thanking him, Lulu shared that she wouldn’t ask Isaiah to keep things a secret if Rocco’s entire future wasn’t hanging on it. Promising that no one would know he’d treated Rocco, Isaiah headed out.

The Party Never Stops

At Charlie’s, Josslyn gushed to Trina about her best friend’s song just as Ava arrived. Leaving them to talk, Josslyn bumped into Kai and thanked him for nudging Trina to sing. Ava apologized to Trina for purposely arriving late because she didn’t want to intrude on the performance, and Trina promised to invite her boss next time. Ava then left the bar, and Kai approached his girlfriend to congratulate her on how amazing she’d been. At a table, Michael and Jacinda chatted about his close bond with Kristina, and they later congratulated his sister on the reopening.

Gio confided to Emma that it was great to play for an audience again and thanked her for encouraging him. Dante called Brook Lynn, who’d missed Gio’s performance, and left her a message to say that their son did a fantastic job. Once Brook Lynn finally arrived, she was distracted but covered as she congratulated Gio on his performance. Pulling his mother aside, Gio apologized for unintentionally excluding her by not telling her about it, and Brook Lynn was touched when he said it would have been nice to look out in the audience and see her there.

Across the bar, Dante asked Emma for an update on Anna. She shared that there had been no signs of improvement in her grandmother’s condition, and the toughest part was that Anna still believed Faison was alive. Having overheard the conversation, Josslyn asked Emma why Anna thought Faison was alive. Joss then told Emma and Dante that she’d found The Crystalline Conspiracy book in the library several months ago. The book didn’t ring a bell for Emma, so Joss further explained the novel’s connection to Anna (and the author being Cesar Faison’s pseudonym), and that she’d wanted to talk about it after Emma returned from Berkeley, but the timing wasn’t right. Emma appeared to be caught off=guard by the revelation, but Brook Lynn and Gio joined the trio before the conversation went any further.

Feeling badly that Kristina was too busy to enjoy the amazing night she’d put together, Jacinda told Michael that success should be celebrated. She then asked Gio to accompany her for a song, and when she got up on the stage to perform, Jacinda gave a shout-out to the night’s hostess, Kristina. As Gio played the intro, Dante debated whether he should talk to Josslyn about her being in the WSB, not wanting her to go through what he had. Afterwards, Brook Lynn marveled to Emma about how talented Gio was, saying that it had been worth the trip to Charlie’s to see her son play.

Eating Humble Pie

Cassius brought Britt to Wyndemere to speak with Jenz, but their boss declared that he no longer had any use for the doctor and instructed Cassius to get rid of her — permanently. Cassius responded that Sidwell couldn’t order him to kill his sister, adding that it would be a waste, but Sidwell stated that the only thing he cared about was that his son was dead. Blaming Britt for Marco’s death, Sidwell yelled at her for wanting out and running off with her murderous boyfriend, then demanded to know if Jason had told her he was going to kill Marco on Sonny’s behalf. Cassius informed Jenz that, during the window of time when Marco was stabbed, Jason had been at Port Charles High School, where he assaulted Commissioner Falconeri before taking off on foot and ending up at the pier. Cassius asserted that if Sonny was responsible for Marco’s death, he hadn’t sent Jason to do the job.

Next, Britt insisted that she and Jason were just trying to get away, and her boyfriend was only trying to protect her when he shot Cullum. When Sidwell snarked that it was a good thing Jason hadn’t killed Cullum, since he was the one who provided Britt’s medicine, Cassius attempted to play peacemaker by pointing out that his sister was there to make things right. Proclaiming that she’d been wrong, Britt begged for her life and promised to finish her father’s project. But before Jenz could reply, Ava sauntered into the living room and offered to call Sidwell’s lawyer if Det. West was harassing him. Covering up the true nature of the meeting, Jenz told Ava that “Nathan” had brought his sister out to discuss a project Britt was working on for him. Turning to Britt, Sidwell asked her if she’d continue the project without further delays, and Britt forced a fake smile as she confirmed she would.

Last Chance

After Britt and “Nathan” left, Ava chuckled that she’d half expected Jenz to claim Britt was there as his “concierge doctor,” and he replied that, since Ava knew about Britt’s altercation with the WSB, he suspected she wouldn’t have believed that. Then, she told Jenz that she knew what it was like to lose a child and wanted to check on him. She also wanted to know what had happened with Sonny after the funeral. Jenz relayed that Sonny insisted he wasn’t responsible for Marco’s death and asked for Ava’s opinion, but she hedged to answer, saying that she didn’t trust herself to be objective where Sonny was concerned because he was both her daughter’s father and her brother Julian’s murderer. Appreciating her honesty, Jenz remarked that he had exchanged confidences with Ava that he normally wouldn’t and urged her not to make him regret it.

Out in the foyer, Britt raged at Cassius for shutting her down when she’d had the perfect opportunity to tell Sidwell that Cullum had killed Marco. Cassius told his sister that she needed Cullum alive to supply her meds. He then cautioned that he wouldn’t be stepping in for her a second time.
