General Hospital Recap: Drew and Ava Move Jack’s Dead Body as Trina’s Obsessed Fan Gets Closer
The Tuesday, September 1, episode of General Hospital was full of shocking moments! After Jack’s (Chris McKenna) dead body was discovered floating in the Metro Court pool, Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Ava (Maura West) relocated the corpse; Carly (Laura Wright) and Jason (Steve Burton) discovered that the hotel security system had been hacked; Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu (Alexa Havins) pivoted on their parenting of Rocco (Finn Carr); Ric (Rick Hearst) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) had a double date with Portia (Brook Kerr) and Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson); and Trina’s (Tabyana Ali) obsessed fan was close by as she and Gio (Giovanni Mazza) made their debut. Get all the details below.
Dead On Arrival
Charlotte and Danny freaked out when they found Jack Brennan’s dead body floating in the Metro Court pool. Concerned that Drew would somehow use it against him, Danny didn’t want to call the police, so the two fled.

Meanwhile, in Jack’s room, a panicked Ava worried that Brennan would return at any moment and attempted to get Drew to leave, but he refused to go until he found the evidence Jack had against him. Eventually, Ava convinced Drew to go, and the two went up to the pool deck, where they stumbled upon Jack’s body floating face up.
Ava immediately feared that Jack’s death would be traced back to her (since Dante saw them together at the Gardens) and vowed to take Drew down with her. The pair pulled Jack’s body out of the pool and loaded it into a laundry cart. Covering the corpse with a pile of pool towels, Ava and Drew decided to use the service elevator to bring him down to the garage so they could dump the body.

Brace Yourself
At the Quartermaine boathouse, Rocco and Scout continued to grow closer at the Quartermaine boathouse as he recommended she take a Speech & Debate class as an elective at school, which would give her confidence and help her win discussions with her dad. Approaching with Charlotte, a flustered Danny moaned that he’d been so distracted by Brennan’s dead body that he dinged Chase’s truck (which they’d “borrowed” without permission). As Danny insisted to Charlotte that they could never tell anyone what they saw, Scout and Rocco emerged and called the other two out on their suspicious behavior.
Scout flipped out when Charlotte revealed that Danny had dented Chase’s truck, saying that it was another reason for her dad to keep them apart. Frazzled, Danny insulted Drew, which upset his sister. The foursome squabbled as Charlotte stuck up for Danny and Rocco defended Scout. In the end, a teary Scout said she didn’t want to have to choose between her brother and her father, and Rocco took her home.

Danny felt bad for upsetting his sister, groaning that he’d snapped at her because he was freaked out between finding the dead body and denting Chase’s truck. Then, Charlotte panicked when she realized her bracelet was missing. It turned out to be stuck on Jack’s sleeve!
Security Breach
Learning that the hotel’s security system was disabled and the alarm was deactivated, Carly called Jason to the hotel to help her figure out why. Once Jason realized that a sophisticated virus was installed through Carly’s office computer, they wondered if the system shutdown had something to do with a VIP guest — like WSB Chief Jack Brennan. Carly and Jason headed up to Jack’s room. He was nowhere to be found, but Jason noted that the room had clearly been searched.

Growing Pains
Isaiah surprised Portia by planning a double date with Ric and Elizabeth at the Metro Court, hoping it would distract her from not attending Trina’s performance that night due to Trina’s demand for space. On his way to meet Elizabeth, a worried Ric stopped by Haven café to get advice from Lulu, hoping to avoid making a bad impression on Elizabeth’s work friends. Lulu recommended he just be himself.
Dante arrived as Ric was leaving and Lulu grinned that she’d come to see that his uncle wasn’t all that bad — anymore, at least. He brought her up to speed on his conversation with Britt about Rocco. Lulu agreed that they were hovering too much and needed to rein in how overprotective they were of Rocco. As they each recalled how their parents allowed them to make their own mistakes when they were teenagers, Lulu and Dante decided to give Rocco the freedom to do the same — and be each other’s support system in the process. Lulu hoped if they handled things the right way, Rocco wouldn’t confide in Britt as much because he’d turn to them.

Connect Four
During Ric and Liz’s double date with Portia and Isaiah, Elizabeth noted that she’d gotten some extra softball coaching (from Dante). Ric tensed up but managed to keep his jealousy at bay and joked that the extra coaching would hopefully give his team some real competition next season. Isaiah apologized to Ric for dropping the civil suit, but Ric respected the doctor wanting not to make a bad situation worse. As the night went on, the two couples had an enjoyable evening.

Opening Night
Ahead of their debut performance at the Cat’s Eye Lounge in Rochester, Trina and Gio met with Brook Lynn and Simon, who still wanted them to pretend they were a couple. Josslyn showed up to support Trina, and Hudson soon followed, having been told by his new boss to meet her there. Hudson was annoyed that Joss wanted to handle JJE business at the club, and the two bickered over the contracts that he needed her to review and sign.
Brook Lynn argued with Simon that Trina and Gio had great chemistry and didn’t need the gimmick of pretending they were a couple. Simon insisted he only wanted them to succeed, commenting that Trina was born to be a star.

After Emma, Kai, and Quinn arrived, Simon warned Kai not to hold Trina back. Meanwhile, Quinn thanked Emma for inviting him, and swore he wanted to put the friction between him and Trina behind him. With some encouragement from Emma, Gio thanked Brook Lynn for giving him back his love for music, and mother and son shared a warm hug.
Next, Simon introduced Trina and Gio to the crowd and the pair’s debut performance was met with a rousing round of applause. Simon and Quinn both disappeared before the next song, and Josslyn teased Hudson about enjoying the show despite himself. Then, as Trina and Gio sang, her obsessed fan added a photo from the Cat’s Eye performance to the collection of pictures on the corkboard.
