General Hospital Recap: Danny Exposes Rocco as the Shooter and Carly Vows Revenge
On General Hospital on Tuesday, July 7, Jack (Chris McKenna) got an earful from Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) as Carly (Laura Wright) swore to make her ex pay for Josslyn (Eden McCoy) nearly dying, Lulu (Alexa Havins) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) faced off over Charlotte (Bluesy Burke), Chase (Josh Swickard) threw an accusation at Michael (Rory Gibson), Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) was convinced Tracy (Jane Elliot) was behind her latest legal troubles, and Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and Gio (Giovanni Mazza) spent some alone time together. Keep on reading for the rundown.
Job Fair
Danny visited Jack at Turning Woods and tried to clear Jason’s name by revealing that Rocco shot Cullum. With Cullum now dead, Jack didn’t think the WSB would care about the pier shooting anymore and encouraged Danny to drop the matter before he caused more problems for Rocco. Defeated, Danny asked him to relay a message to his dad, and Jack agreed to try.

In Josslyn’s hospital room, Carly assumed that her daughter would leave the WSB now that the mission with Cullum was over. Even though she’d almost died, Josslyn had no intention of quitting. Explaining that she wanted to make the world a safer place, Joss begged her mother to try to understand her decision because she didn’t want to lose their relationship.
Realizing she’d lose her daughter if she continued to fight her, Carly told her that she didn’t accept the career choice, but she understood. As the two shared an emotional moment, Jack entered Josslyn’s room. When Jack asked Carly to step out so he could have a classified conversation with Josslyn, she begrudgingly agreed — but she still wanted revenge. “You will pay for this,” she hissed at her ex as he closed the door.

I Beg Your Pardon
Both Lulu and Charlotte were shocked — for different reasons — when Dante found out from the WSB that Valentin had been released with a full pardon. When Rocco stood up for his sister, his parents were angry to discover that he’d also known the former fugitive had been hiding out in Port Charles. Valentin then dropped by the house, wanting to take Charlotte out for a catch-up session. However, Lulu refused to let her daughter leave with her dad.
As Lulu blasted Valentin for putting their daughter in danger with his secret visits, she realized that Charlotte had gone to see him the night she disappeared during the snowstorm. Lulu balked when Valentin proposed they share 50/50 custody of Charlotte, angrily reminding him that he’d kept their daughter’s existence a secret for most of her childhood. Valentin cautioned that if Lulu didn’t find a way to coexist with him, she’d lose her own relationship with Charlotte once their daughter became an independent adult.

Failed Attempt
At the Metro Court pool, Chase updated Brook Lynn that Phoebe’s birth father’s paperwork had been certified, and the couple celebrated being one step closer to adopting the baby. Brook Lynn asked her husband for the latest on Willow and feigned surprise when Chase revealed that there was evidence indicating that Willow had been the other driver who left the scene of Jordan and Curtis’s accident.
When Chase insinuated that Willow was being framed again by Michael, Brook Lynn was privately crushed that her manipulation hadn’t worked — Chase still believed in Willow’s innocence!

On the other side of the pool deck, Michael filled Jacinda in about the trip log from Willow’s car that placed her on Route 91 at the time of Jordan’s accident. They agreed that it seemed a bit too convenient. Michael professed that he hadn’t set Willow up but shot a glance at Brook Lynn, wondering if she was responsible. Michael also confided that he was having second thoughts about splitting up Brook Lynn and Chase now that his cousin was on the verge of getting the family she’d always wanted, but he couldn’t help but hate how much time he was missing with Daisy, who’d just turned one, because of Willow’s actions.
Next, Chase approached Michael with his accusations, but Brook Lynn intervened, telling her husband and cousin to stop arguing. As Chase began to walk away, Michael implored him not to throw away his family for Willow.

Loose Lips
Dante took Rocco and Charlotte to the pool. Rocco told Dante that he’d helped Charlotte keep the secret about Valentin because he’d felt like his sister had been going through something similar with her parents to what he had been going through with Dante, Lulu, and Britt. While Dante understood Rocco’s reasoning, he urged his son to be honest moving forward, inspiring Rocco to divulge to his dad that Charlotte had told Danny the truth about Cullum’s shooting. Rocco added that he didn’t think Danny would tell anyone.
Charlotte spotted Danny by the pool bar and happily shared that her dad was back, with all charges dropped. That prompted Danny to confess that he’d told Brennan about Rocco shooting Cullum, but Brennan didn’t think it would matter. At first, Charlotte was angry that Danny betrayed her trust, but when he explained that Jason was the only parent he had left, Charlotte admitted she would have done the same thing to save her own father.

Homecoming
Emma was back from France, and she and Gio got the apartment ready for Anna’s return. Gio told his girlfriend that, per Tracy and Sonny’s request, he’d moved out of his grandfather’s house until things settled down with Sidwell, but had stayed at Anna’s instead of moving back to the Quartermaine estate. Emma compared the situation to Anna’s request that Emma leave her behind in France, musing that when somebody cared about you that much, you’d do anything that they asked.

Lightbulb Moment
Ahead of a board meeting at G.H. to discuss Willow’s universal daycare program, Tracy and the congresswoman got into another heated confrontation over the way Willow manipulates people and the amount of time she’d been spending with Chase. Willow accused Tracy of being the one straining Brook Lynn and Chase’s marriage, and Tracy ordered Willow to stay out of Brook Lynn’s life and to stop calling Chase at every turn.
Defending herself, Willow pointed out that Chase had gone to help her at the police station all on his own, and Tracy questioned what legal trouble Willow was facing now. Huffing that she was apparently a suspect in the Ashfords’ car accident, Willow became convinced that Tracy had framed her. At the same time, it dawned on Tracy that Brook Lynn was the guilty party!

Should Tracy confront Willow with her suspicion or let it go? Was Danny wrong to tell Jack about Rocco? Will the WSB renege on Josslyn’s barter to free Jason? Share your thoughts on the latest episode of GH in the comments below, as well as what you think will happen next!
