Exclusive: Jennifer Bassey On GH Gig

Jennifer Bassey, who played ALL MY CHILDREN’s Marian Colby Chandler from 1983-85, 1995-2009 and 2011, will land in Port Charles soon. GH isn’t divulging whether she’ll be reprising Marian or appearing as a new character, but Bassey tells Digest, “I love the role and I’m having a lot of fun working on it. I’ve never been so excited!” When the show reached out to her agent, the actress marvels, “I was just jumping up and down! I couldn’t believe it. I know how tight the market is right now, and so forth this to happen is just so lovely.” On her first day at the studio, she enjoyed a warm Pine Valley reunion with Rebecca Budig (ex-Greenlee, now GH’s Hayden). “Rebecca and I screamed at the top of our lungs,” Bassey grins.
