Elizabeth Busts Kristina On General Hospital!

Comments

On the June 18 episode of General Hospital, Kristina (Kate Mansi) was shocked when confronted by Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) about her role in the car accident! Plus, Ric learned that Lucky left town and promised Liz that he would always be there for her.

Stay in Your Lane

Arriving at the nurses’ hub, Ric was unable to find Elizabeth, but did spot Dr. Gannon. When the legal eagle asked Isaiah if he’d seen the head nurse, Isaiah reported that Elizabeth had taken a personal day. “Is she okay?” a worried Ric asked. She just needed a day to regroup after packing Aiden, Isaiah explained. “He left for Europe — with Lucky.” Surprised by this news, Ric tried fishing for more information, like how long Lucky and Aiden would be gone, but Isaiah wouldn’t offer up any further details on his friend’s plans and suggested Ric call Lucky himself. When Ric pointed out that he was merely concerned for Elizabeth, Isaiah countered that Elizabeth could take care of herself… and because Lucky was one of his best friends, he’d be looking out for Liz while Lucky was gone! “So, you mess with her, you mess with me,” Dr. Gannon warned. “Yes, of course,” Ric replied. “But I can assure you, Elizabeth doesn’t need protection from me.”

Motion to Dismiss?

Meanwhile, Alexis visited Elizabeth at Laura’s request to speak with her about the car accident and the potential lawsuit that Martin suggested Liz file against the car manufacturer. Liz, who knew from Lucky that the accident was not caused by a vehicle malfunction but was actually Kristina’s doing, informed Alexis that she’d already told Martin she wasn’t interested in suing. Alexis explained that because the accident had caused Liz so much pain, the mayor had asked her to look things over objectively and see if Elizabeth might have a solid case. “Sounds like Laura,” Elizabeth said of her onetime mother-in-law. “Well, please tell her that it’s really sweet of her for thinking of me, and I appreciate the concern, but I’m totally healed, and I have no desire to go to court. I really am just ready to put this whole nightmare behind me.”

I Know What You Did

After Alexis left, Liz called Kristina, who was at the Metro Court pool spying on Cody’s seduction of Ava, and summoned her over for an important conversation. Once Kristina arrived at her home, Liz declared that it was time they got everything out in the open. “Everything? Like what?” wondered Kristina, trying to keep her rising dread at bay. “Oh, I think you know,” shot back Liz. Kristina played dumb. “Then let me make it easy for you,” said Liz. “Lucky told me you caused the accident. That you cut Ric’s brake lines thinking it was Ava’s car. You tried to kill Ava,” she continued, going in for the proverbial kill. “But instead, you nearly killed me and Ric.”

Kristina apologized, insisting that she had never meant to hurt Liz. Liz noted that she knew that — it was Ava Kristina intended to hurt, “or more accurately, you meant to kill her.” A flustered Kristina tried to explain away her actions, noting that she’d snapped. Still grieving Adela, she’d had another fight with Ava and then just so happened to see the wire cutters in the garage. Kristina added that she’d tried to stop Ava from driving the car by calling her, “but she didn’t pick up!” Elizabeth looked underwhelmed. Kristina described that when she drove past the crash site, “I was horrified.” “Yeah, because you got me and Ric,” Elizabeth noted sarcastically.

Still spinning her excuses, Kristina stammered that if Ric and Elizabeth hadn’t made it out alive, she would have gone to the police and confessed. “But Ric and I would be dead, so we wouldn’t be impressed by your grand gesture,” Elizabeth snapped, pointing out that “since we were just seriously injured, you decided to stay quiet.” Furthermore, Liz huffed, Kristina let Lucky cover for her! Noting that when Lucky had first told her the truth, “I was livid,” Liz told Kristina that she had wanted to call the police. “The only reason I didn’t is that Lucky would have been charged as an accessory.”

Liz made Kristina squirm as she mused, “Now that Lucky is out of the country, and he’s not in the reach of the PCPD…” She fixed Kristina with a pointed look. “What are you going to do?” Kristina demanded, her voice husky. “Are you going to turn me in?”

Elizabeth didn’t answer right away, and instead scolded Kristina by saying, “No matter how much you despise Ava, there is no justifying or excusing what you did.” Kristina was contrite, stammering that she would understand if Liz decided to turn her in. Exasperated, Liz rolled her eyes. “I’m not going to turn you in, Kristina,” she declared. Kristina let out a deep sigh of relief.

Liz explained that she felt the Davis family had been through enough recently with losing Sam and didn’t think they should “go through the pain of watching you go to prison.” Not to mention, Elizabeth added, she was pretty sure that Molly would be devastated to know that her sister had nearly killed her father. “So, for those reasons, Lucky wants me to stay quiet, and I will abide by his wishes,” Elizabeth asserted. Kristina blurted out a thank you, but Liz cut her off. Getting up in Kristina’s face, she warned, “If you ever do something like this again, any more revenge plots, I will turn you in in a heartbeat.”

Misery Loves Company

Then came a knock at the door. Elizabeth answered and invited her caller in: It was Ric! He stopped in his tracks when he saw Molly’s sister. “Hello, Kristina. You’re the last person I would have thought to find here,” Ric admitted. “Same,” Kristina countered. She faced Elizabeth, who raised her eyebrow at her. Kristina thanked Elizabeth for her understanding and added, “We are definitely on the same page.” With that, she headed for the door.

Once Kristina left, Ric questioned what their exchange was about, but Liz brushed it off as a “personal matter” before asking Ric why he had dropped by unannounced. He explained that he’d gone looking for her after being unable to find her at the hospital. “Well, you found me, so if you have something to say, please spit it out, because I have a lot to do today,” she continued, a hint of annoyance in her voice. “Really? Well, I would have thought that you’d have loads of time now that Lucky and Aiden have gone to Europe,” Ric quipped.

“I knew that’s why you’re here,” an exasperated Liz declared, then swiftly informed her ex that just because Lucky was gone didn’t mean she was ready to start another relationship. “I just came by to make sure you’re okay,” Ric insisted. “As your friend, I want you to know that if you need anything, I’m here for you.”

Let us know in the comments below if you think that Liz should turn Kristina in — and if Ric wants to be more than just a friend to Elizabeth!
