CW Eyeing DYNASTY Reboot

A reboot of the ’80s hit DYNASTY is in script development at CW, Variety has confirmed. The new series will revolve around two women in conflict, Fallon Carrington, daughter of mega-rich Blake Carrington, and Cristal, a Hispanic woman poised to marry Blake. The project is under the auspices of CBS Television Studios, in association with Fake Empire, and executive producers and writers Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Sallie Patrick. Esther and Richard Shapiro, creators of the original DYNASTY, will also serve as executive producers.  Fake Empire exec Lis Rowinski will be co-executive producer of the series. The original DYNASTY, produced by Aaron Spelling, ran on ABC from 1981-89.
