Opportunity Knocks: During Drew’s (Cameron Mathison, l.) conversation with Ric (Ric Hearst), a chance to manipulate little Wiley (Viron Weaver) was practically handed to him on a silver platter.ABC

On the June 9, 2025, episode of General Hospital, Drew (Cameron Mathison) proved just how far he’d go to ensure that Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) gets custody of the kids… by dragging Wiley into the middle of the fight!

Cry Uncle

Rather than head to the courthouse, where the custody trial was about to resume, Drew had Ric meet him at the hospital. Drew described the cozy scene he’d witnessed the night before as Michael (Rory Gibson), Willow, Wylie, and Amelia visited with Sasha and Michael’s baby girl, Daisy. Worried that the icy conditions between the soon-to-be-exes were beginning to thaw, Drew pointed out that if Michael and Willow forge a common ground, all of Ric’s theatrics in the courtroom from the day before — his cross-examination that sent Sasha into early labor — were pointless. Drew declared that he planned to put a stop to any sort of compromise between Michael and Willow.

Meanwhile, Willow arrived at the courthouse with her mom, Nina, and was surprised to receive a phone call from Michael. After they both admitted that spending time together as a family the night before was nice, Michael suggested that he and Willow speak privately before the custody hearing resumed. After agreeing to meet with him, Willow told Nina that she thought Michael wanting to have a direct conversation was a good sign. But when Willow began to second-guess Michael’s motives, Nina pointed out that his change in demeanor and the special family moment they all shared the previous night might be just the positive turn of events that they were hoping for.

Kristina brought Wiley and Amelia to the hospital to meet up with Michael and see Daisy. She left her nephew with Lucas while she took Amelia to the restroom, but Lucas soon had to answer a page, so he left Wiley unattended. Rounding the corner, Drew saw Wiley sitting by himself on a bench and was struck by an idea. Knowing that the boy was in earshot, Drew fibbed to Ric that he and Willow needed to get custody of Wiley and Amelia because now that Michael has the new baby to focus on, he doesn’t want his older children anymore!

Understandably, the little boy was devastated to hear his Uncle Drew’s suggestion that the only reason Michael came back to Port Charles was for his new family with Sasha. Glancing at Wiley, Drew noted the sad expression on the boy’s face, then feigned sadness himself before walking down the hall. Turning around, Ric spotted the crestfallen Wiley and realized that Drew had said what he said deliberately to crush Wiley’s spirit. When Ric confronted him about the stunt, Drew admitted to Ric that he hated himself for doing that because he loved Wiley, but he had to derail any softening between Willow and Michael. Any agreement on shared custody, Drew added, would only benefit Michael. “She’s got to stay the course,” he said of Willow. “And hopefully, with Wiley’s help, she will.”

Returning to Wiley’s side, Lucas noted how upset the little boy was. As Lucas was trying to get him to open up about what was wrong, Michael walked by and tried to comfort his son. “You don’t want me and Amelia anymore,” Wiley accused his dad. Reassuring Wiley that nothing could be further from the truth, Michael reminded him that all he’d wanted while he was in Germany was to get back home to him and Amelia. If anything, Michael told his son, he needed Wiley’s help more than ever to be a big brother to Daisy and teach Amelia how to be a big sister. Once Wiley had perked up, Michael questioned where he’d even gotten the idea that he was unwanted. “I heard Uncle Drew say it,” Wiley reported.

Back at the courthouse, Willow mused to Nina that perhaps all she and Michael needed all along was to have a calm, collected conversation about sharing custody. Nina urged her daughter to keep the lines of communication open and honest with Michael, leading Willow to introduce the subject of Nina not telling her that Michael and Sasha had slept together. Willow noted that she knew it must have been a difficult position for Nina to be in, given her history with Sasha, and thanked her mom for making their relationship her priority.

Their conversation was interrupted by Michael, who filled them in on what Wiley had heard from Drew. Willow jumped to Drew’s defense, claiming that Wiley must have misunderstood — and even blamed Michael for making the story up! “Drew is a good man who loves me and my children,” she insisted. “He would never do something to hurt them!” With a cold look in his eyes, Michael informed his ex-wife to remember this as the moment she chose her relationship with Drew over their children before storming off into the courtroom.

When Drew arrived, Willow briefed him on Michael’s claim. Drew denied any wrongdoing before pulling Willow into a hug. “It just goes to show you that Michael… he’s not well, and the kids belong with us,” said Drew. Nina shook her head in disbelief. Inside the courtroom, Michael instructed Diane to do whatever she had to once the hearing picked up again. “My kids aren’t safe with Willow,” he declared.

The custody trial resumed with Ric calling Willow to the stand, asking if she believed Michael was a good father. “I used to believe that, more than anything,” she began. “But now, absolutely not.” After further explaining that Michael’s work at Aurora often kept him from family dinners and the kids’ sports events, Willow testified that she felt Michael liked the idea of being a father more than actually being a present one. When Willow claimed under oath that she even flew to Germany to speak with her estranged husband, only for him to refuse to see her, Michael slid a note to Diane indicating that that never actually happened.

With Ric’s questioning complete, it was Diane’s turn to cross-examine Willow — and she started by asking Willow if it was more important to her to be with her children or with Drew. What will Willow’s answer be? Find out on the next GH!
