An Eyewitness Report

The action in this Days of Our Lives spoilers video preview for the week of May 26 opens as Kristen sits down next to Rachel on the sofa at the DiMera mansion. “The night Uncle EJ was shot, Johnny was there,” Rachel begins, her mother hanging on every word. “He was fighting with Uncle EJ. He had a gun,” she adds, leaving Kristen stunned.

The Time Has Come

At the Kiriakis mansion, Maggie is standing her ground with her son-in-law. “I will do everything in my power to protect my granddaughter,” Maggie tells a shocked Xander. The two were always so close but seeing his violent side up close — especially with her late husband’s other son now hooked up to tubes in the hospital — has changed things for the family matriarch. “Is that a threat?” Xander asks, looking displeased. The action quickly switches to University Hospital. Jada reads Xander his rights as Kayla and Brady look on. “You are under arrest for the assault of Philip Kiriakis.”

To Say Goodbye

In John’s hospital room, the bandaged hero lies still as Marlena rests her head next to his on the pillow. The scene switches to his longtime friend and former partner, Abe. “We’re family, John.” As Marlena is heard saying to Carrie, “Family is who sits in your heart, who brings you to life, who makes it worthwhile,” moments are shown of Kayla hugging Steve, Marlena squeezing Paul’s shoulder, Brady with his dad, Will at John’s bedside too and Carrie hugging Marlena. Also spotted at John’s bedside are Eric and Belle. At the chapel, Steve prays. “Please help my partner,” he says, choking back the tears. As the words “don’t leave us now” are heard, Marlena, in bed with the man she’s loved for decades, leans over to gently kiss his shoulder.
