Days of Our Lives Alum Arianne Zucker Stars in New Horror Comedy Movie

Comments

Viewers who miss seeing Arianne Zucker as Nicole Walker on Days of Our Lives can look forward to watching the Daytime Emmy nominee in the new movie Mimics, which hits theaters this February on Friday the 13th. The actress will be playing the role of The Madam, who is instrumental in setting the plot in motion. “This one weaves a web so thick you can’t escape,” the film’s director and star, Kristoffer Polaha, shared on Instagram. “Arianne Zucker puts a spin on temptation as The Madam.”

Be Careful What You Wish For

Written by Marc Oakley, Mimics tells the story of Sam Reinhold (played by Polaha), a struggling stand-up comedian who strikes a deal with Fergus, an evil puppet that turns Sam into a star, but puts everyone around him in grave danger. The film marks the directorial debut of Polaha, an actor who has appeared in shows such as North Shore, Life Unexpected, Ringer, and Castle, as well as movies like Wonder Woman 1984, Jurassic Park: Dominion, and the Mystery 101 Hallmark Movie series.

The cast of this horror/comedy/romance includes prolific character actor Stephen Toblowsky (The Goldbergs, Groundhog Day), Chris Parnell (Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock), Jesse Hutch (Batwoman, Cedar Cove) and Jason Marsden (Step by Step), who played AJ Quartermaine on General Hospital from 1986-87. Also appearing in the movie is Micah Max Polaha, the director/star’s son with wife Julianne Morris, who played Amy Lewis on Young and Restless and Greta Von Amberg on DAYS.

Zucker debuted as Nicole Walker on DAYS back in February 1998, and Morris made her first appearance as “Swamp Girl” — later revealed to be Greta — in May of that same year. Before Morris’s exit in 2002, Greta and Nicole got mixed up in plenty of drama in Salem. In 1999, after Nicole broke fiancé Eric’s (Jensen Ackles) heart by marrying Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) instead — after his Lucas’s mother, Kate (Lauren Koslow), infamously made it worth her while to the tune of five million dollars — he took up with Greta. But Nicole was still very much in love with Eric and plotted to ruin his budding romance with Greta.

“Arianne showed up and absolutely crushed it out of the park,” Polaha declared on Instagram back in June 2025 as cast and crew wrapped up filming on Mimics, adding that “her willingness to straddle the absurdity and naturalism of her scene and her ability to simply say ‘yes’ and make the material work was very impressive. Kudos to my wife for recommending her for the role; they worked together on Days of Our Lives a few years back, and she was born to play The Madam.”

Zucker’s last appearance on DAYS took place on July 29, 2024. In October 2025, it was announced that she had settled the lawsuit she brought against the show’s producers, in which she alleged sexual harassment and discrimination.
