Up Close And Personal With GH’s Genie Francis
In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, Genie Francis (Laura, GH) opens up about her lifelong struggle with her weight. “Women are obsessing about their weight everywhere all over the place, whether they’re on TV or not, but you go on TV, and now it’s just — the pressure is unbelievable,” says the star, who was 14 when she joined GH, of growing up in the public eye. Working with Nutrisystem has helped her get control over her eating, but, she admits, “There are days when I screwed up and I’d get really depressed. One of the things that’s most important is forgiving yourself and getting back up on the horse.” For more on her journey, check out the new issue.
