CBS Soaps Preempted for March Madness: Get the Full Schedule Details
Soap fans never like it when their favorite shows are preempted, even when the interruptions in the drama are scheduled in advance. But this week, viewers will need to prepare for some Wednesday cliffhangers as once again, it’s time for March Madness. And that means that Young and Restless, Bold and Beautiful and Beyond the Gates will be preempted for CBS Sports coverage of NCAA basketball games on Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20.
Beyond the Gates
This week of BTG will end with Leslie’s (Trisha Mann-Grant) battle with the Duprees escalating and pitting her directly against Vernon (Clifton Davis), while Nicole’s (Daphnée Duplaix) budding relationship with Kial (Greg Vaughan) could take a bit of a turn when the doctor makes an unexpected move. Also, Anita (Tamara Tunie) and Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) have a difficult discussion, and Joey (Jon Lindstrom) gives an old friend his blessing.
Bold and Beautiful
Over on B&B, the week will reach a climax as Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) continues meddling in the lives of those around her, Electra (Laneya Grace) confronts Dylan (Sydney Bullock) about Will (Crew Morrow), and Dylan also learns some shocking information when she overhears Ivy and Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) talking.
Young and Restless
Wednesday’s Y&R will end with Adam (Mark Grossman) going to extremes to help Nick (Joshua Morrow) track down Matt (Roger Howarth), Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) delivering some unexpected news to Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), and Sally (Courtney Hope) urging Billy (Jason Thompson) to patch things up with Jill (Jess Walton).
Because all three CBS soaps are preempted nationally for college basketball on Thursday and Friday, there will be no new episodes at all, not even streaming on CBS.com or Paramount+. The action on all three soaps will pick up on Monday, March 23, right where it left off at the end of Wednesday’s shows so fans won’t miss a single moment of the drama.
