1990 GOODBYE, MY LOVE: Returning to Salem three years later, Bo and Hope became embroiled in another high-sea adventure. Evil Ernesto lured them and his other enemies aboard the Loretta, a.k.a. The Cruise of Deception. While trailing Bo to Ernesto’s lair, Hope took a wrong turn and ended up trapped in a cage suspended over a vat of acid. When the cage exploded, a grief-stricken Bo was left a widower.
1994 HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL: Bo was in for the shock of his life when he encountered “Gina”, an amnesia victim who was a dead wringer for Hope, at Maison Blanche. Having just proposed to Billie and certain this was all a sick game orchestrated by Stefano, Bo refused to believe his dead wife was alive. Although tests finally proved Gina was indeed Hope, Bo went ahead and married Billie. However, realizing her new husband wasn’t over his “ex,” Billie left town. 
1999 THE MISSING YEARS: Brainwashed with Princess Gina’s memories and living as an art thief for the four years she had been presumed dead, Hope struggled with her identity and Bo fought to bring her back. Unfortunately, Stefano’s mind control prevailed. In the process, Hope ended up making love to both Stefano and a drugged John. By the time Bo rescued Hope, she was pregnant. 
2000 I DO, TAKE TWO: Having fought their way back to one another and overcoming the fact that John had “fathered” their infant son, J.T., Bo and Hope were finally reunited in a romantic Christmas Eve wedding. The couple reaffirmed their love before their families, vowing that no one would ever tear them apart, again.2001 OH, BABY: J.T.’s battle with fetal alcohol syndrome ultimately led Bo and Hope to a shocking discovery: The child wasn’t biologically Hope’s or John’s. It turned out that Stefano had arranged a baby switch. Abe and Lexie were given Hope’s newborn, while Bo and Hope were given the late Marlo and Glen Reiber’s baby.
2002 LOSING JT: Despite their best legal attempts, Bo and Hope lost custody of J.T. and were forced to surrender the child to his biological father. Fighting back tears, Bo, Hope and Shawn said an anguished goodbye to the toddler they had raised since birth. However, Glen and his wife, Barb, welcomed the Bradys to always be a part of J.T.’s life. 
2002 THE SON ALSO RISES: After Abe relinquished Isaac to Bo and Hope and they renamed the boy Zack, things took a unique turn for the Bradys. Hope began having memory flashes that led her to believe that Bo could possibly be Zack’s father. DNA tests soon proved that it was true. It turned out that while under Stefano’s control, Bo and Hope had conceived a son, an occasion that neither of them remembered.
