Apprentice 3 Update #6

Comments

The Feb. 24 APPRENTICE opened with everyone in the suite praying that Stephanie would be eliminated, but the moment she walked through the door it was all kisses and hugs. Sure.

The teams were tasked with creating yet ANOTHER ad campaign (Perhaps a future challenge could be to think up an original challenge?). The object was to paint a graffiti mural in Harlem that would shill Sony PlayStation 2’s Gran Turismo 4 video racing game. A focus group of locals would be the judges.

African-American Tara put her “street credibility” on the line by directing Net Worth to create a mural featuring cars busting out of a cityscape. Sadly, it was blasted by the focus group as insulting and “stereotypical.” Oops! Magna’s leader, Alex, was more successful by soliciting locals’ input and giving “mad props” to their “bling-bling” images. A mother beamed that the mural would make her buy the game for her son.

Trump’s consult with Sony execs lasted an hour, even though their verdict indicated a “clear winner” — Magna. The Book Smarts folks were rewarded with portraits by a fashion photographer (who, if he really can get folks to pay $60,000 for a snapshot, should be Trump’s apprentice).

A clearly nonplussed Tara instantly went from claiming all the credit to looking for someone to blame. She decided John and Audrey (who played the game) withheld information that would have made Tara change the entire campaign. Amid the usual boardroom finger-pointing Craig dissed Tara’s leadership, and she took him and Audrey into the boardroom.

Trump divined that Tara came up with her mural idea before meeting with Sony, and putting the cart before the horse got Tara put in a taxi.

Six Net Worths and five Magnas are left. Check this space next Friday, March 4, for the latest scoop on NBC’s hit reality show!

SOAP OPERA WEEKLY ’s Predictions for the Final Four (two are still in):
Alex: His theology and Latin degrees alone reveal his impressive mind, and his solid speaking — and lobbying — skills will please Trump.

Brian: He’s got the creativity and business acumen, having made a million from selling glow-in-the-dark necklaces.

Kendra: This entrepreneur and talk radio show host may prove to be one of the most resourceful and dedicated players.

Tara: Watch this one — her NYC know-how and heavy management experience should keep her on the successful side.

The dark horses: lively Angie and tough Bren!
