Tom Stacy

Tom Stacy, senior writer at Soap Opera Digest, has covered the world of soaps since 1997, writing celebrity profiles, behind-the-scenes features, covering award shows, red carpets, press rooms and fan gatherings. Tom is a member of the Television Critics Association (TCA), handling prime-time soap coverage for the magazine. Previously, he penned for the company’s teen publication, Pixie. Tom graduated with honors from Temple University, and furthered his education in the UCLA Writers Program. There, he studied and worked as an instructor assistant and guest lecturer. His duties also included moderating panel discussions with TV writers and executives for more than 20 years. Tom has also contributed to a number of books and TV shows covering the entertainment industry. When asked why he enjoys his profession, Tom quips, “Soaps taught me to prepare for real life — Another day, another drama.”
