Texas native Kim Matula has been acting since she was 12, years old and when she turned 15, she sent out her headshot and managed to land an agent.

After graduating from high school, Matula studied film at the University of Texas at Arlington, but dropped out because her acting career was taking off. In 2008, she appeared in the TV movie QUEEN SIZED with Hairspray‘s Nikki Blonsky and had a recurring role on the show PINK.

The next year, the actress moved to Los Angeles and booked roles on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, as well as the movie Crown Thy Good. Then in January 2010, she landed the part of Brooke’s now-grown daughter, Hope.

Though she’s a newcomer to soaps, Matula was thrown into a juicy storyline when Brooke unintentionally slept with Hope’s boyfriend, Oliver. As the secret came out, the actress did some impressive work while portraying Hope’s heartbreak and got a chance to show off her acting chops.

When she’s not acting, Matula enjoys reading and painting.
