Susan Seaforth
Hayes (Julie, DAYS)
“In 1970, sitting together at the piano in rehearsal room 3 of NBC, Bill Hayes sang to me a little ditty from 1911 called ‘Somebody Knows’. That did the trick. I made it my life goal to wrap my future around his. That Bill embraces life with an open and loving heart, is smart, fun, self-disciplined, patient, kind, adorable, deliciously talented and sexy ... had something to do with it, too.”
Bill Hayes (Doug, DAYS)
“The exact moment is vivid in my mind: 1970, arriving for a script read-through in the old DAYS office back in Studio 9 at NBC, Burbank. Macdonald Carey [ex-Tom] introducing me to members of the cast, said, ‘And, Bill, this is our Susan Seaforth.’ I can hear his voice today. Stunning girl. Fabulous actress. Maybe we didn’t shake hands, but we shook hearts. Here we are, 49 years later, hearts still shaking. I am grateful every day for that moment and the sweet years Susan and I have shared ever since.”
Melissa Ordway (Abby, Y&R)
and husband Justin Gaston (ex-Ben, DAYS)
“I met Justin when we were in a horror movie together. Our characters were hanging in a tree and supposed to be dead but we were up there for hours. We ended up talking and getting to know each other. He was so sweet. When I drove home after that, I called my mom and told her I met my future husband.”
Joshua Morrow
(Nick, Y&R) and
wife Tobe Keeney
“I told my wife on our first date that we would get married and she said, ‘Shut up!’ She then looked at me like I was some weirdo creep but I said, ‘It’s gonna happen.’ We had just met two days earlier.”
Jordi Vilasuso (Rey, Y&R)
and wife Kaitlin Riley
“It happened pretty quick. We first met when she was 16 and I was 21. We reconnected nine years ago on Facebook and when we met in person, it wasn’t long after that I knew she was the one.”
Elizabeth Hendrickson
(Margaux, GH) and fiancé Rob Meder
“I knew Rob was the one very early on. We were out with friends and I was dancing up a storm, like I usually do. He was not, so I went over to him and sat down and he said, ‘What are you doing? You were having so much fun!’ I said, ‘Yeah, but you don’t really like to dance, so I’ll just sit with you, it’s okay.’ He said, ‘Nothing makes me happier than to see you do what you love to do!’ For the rest of the night, he took pictures of me dancing with all my girlfriends with the biggest grin on his face and I thought, ‘This is the person I am meant to be with.’ I had never been with someone who celebrated who I was. I had always been with people who were like, ‘You’re too much!’ I’m that person who will dance on a table to get the party going, and he loves that about me.”
Katherine Kelly Lang
(Brooke, B&B) and beau
Dominique Zoida
“It’s kind of hard to say. I wasn’t looking for a relationship — definitely not — and he wasn’t either, so it just developed very naturally. We didn’t jump to any conclusions but we quickly realized that we enjoyed each other’s company, and it just went from there. That was it.”
