Exclusive! Kassie DePaiva Shares Cancer Journey
In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, Kassie DePaiva (Eve, DAYS, ex-Blair, OLTL) details her cancer journey, from being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia to remission. “You really walk through the valley in the shadow of death some days,” she says. “The cancer just really robs you of your humanity, but you just had to keep pushing.” DePaiva shares personal pictures from the past year, talks about the support of husband, James DePaiva (ex-Max, OLTL) and son, J.Q., as well as her family and her family of friends from daytime. “Jimmy was unbelievable, and never left my side,” she praises. “So many of my ONE LIFE TO LIVE family really stepped up, and even the DAYS family from out here would call and text.
