B&B’s Courtney Hope (Sally) admits that filming Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Sally’s first love scene wasn’t nearly as sexy and romantic as it appeared on-screen. “It was very technical,” recalls Hope. “There were lots of different angles, like shooting through the fireplace and all that stuff. Since they got together so quickly — it was like speed dating, only faster [laughs] — Darin and I really wanted to make it work. Darin is very professional, so it was very easy and it was very comfortable. We talked ahead of time about exactly what it needed to be, and we agreed that it needed to be really primal, because that’s what it was really about. It wasn’t about this romantic, ‘I love you’ type of thing. That wasn’t even in the cards at that point. It was more like, ‘I’m lonely, and you’re here.’ I really appreciated that moment because there was a lot of depth to it. Usually, our moments in general tend to be jokey and fun and lighthearted, and because this was so the opposite, that first love scene still stands out for me.”

Hayley Erin (ex-Kiki) had a jam-packed final day at GH. “My last day was going to be a Wednesday and we were filming, like, a ridiculous amount of pages; it was going to be 50 pages on that one day. So Frank [Valentini, executive producer] was like, ‘Do you want to do the second set of scenes on Friday?’ and we were all kind of like, ‘Yes!’ So, what was originally going to be my last day, which I had been bracing for, ended up not being my last day.” She did not use the extra time to pack up her dressing room. “I am a master procrastinator and so I packed it up on my very last day,” she admits. “I had a doctor’s appointment I had to get to, so I was kind of rushing out of there, and I just threw all the stuff in my car on my last day. I was like, ‘Okay, I have to do this,’ so I grabbed all the little knickknacks that I had, all my pictures. I left all my furniture, a chair and a rug and a giant pillow and my TV. I was like, ‘Anyone who wants these things, take them! I would love to gift these things to you.’ ” As far as she knows, there were no takers. “Ryan Carnes [Lucas] texted me yesterday and said, ‘Yo, Cuz, I’m in your digs, and everything’s still there.’ It’s like a shrine to Kiki, it’s all intact and my name is still on the door, so I feel like I’m still included.”

Noemi Gonzalez (Mia, Y&R) reports that she has enjoyed working out what makes her alter ego tick. “This has been so much fun because Mia is really complex but fun,” smiles the actress. “I feel like she really is complementary to the universe of Genoa City.” Gonzalez says that an early conversation with Executive Producer/Head Writer Mal Young helped her to get a grasp on her character. “The first day I picked up my script I spoke to him, and he’s beyond nice,” she enthuses. “He mentioned how much he had been working on Mia and in some ways she kind of represents his experience of being from Liverpool and wanting to work for a better life. He basically entrusted me with that responsibility and I just found that to be in-sanely beautiful to have that opportunity and also to have the freedom. He’s been wonderful to help me with all the information, so I need to do that for him and for the show.”

Count DAYS’s Sal Stowers (Lani) and Lamon Archey (Eli) as big fans of co-star Tionne Watkins (Sheila) from her TLC days. When Stowers learned she’d be working with her, “My teenage self came out and I called my boyfriend, like, ‘Guess who I’m working with? It’s T-Boz from TLC,’ ” she recalls. “I know all of their songs. I can sing all of them right now. She’s pretty awesome to work with. And she’s fun. She brings such sass to the show and some comedy, so it’s a pleasure. It’s so much fun working with her. I love working with her. I’m a lucky girl.” Archey adds, “I remember I was reading some scenes and she had scenes with other people and I was like, ‘I wish I could do some scenes with her,’ and I had no idea that we actually had a story coming up. I was very, very happy. She’s so cool. It’s fun because she brings a different side of Eli out that viewers haven’t seen, as well.”
