Young and Restless’s Sally Blasts Cheating Adam and Other Big Soap Moments from August 28

In 2009, Lindsay Hartley (r., with Camila Banus as Gabi and Galen Gering as Rafe) made her Days of Our Lives debut as Arianna Hernandez, sister of Gabi and Rafe. The role had briefly been played by Felisha Terrell before Hartley was cast. The actress had previously been a star on Passions, where she appeared as Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald from 1999-2007. On that series, Gering also played her brother (Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald). Hartley exited the show in 2010, and told Soap Operea Weekly, "I was in a storyline meeting and was told that they could go two different ways with my character, and that they would let me know after the Emmys. The week after the Emmys, I went in to [get] the update on which direction they were going with my character, and I was told that they were going to kill her."

In 2015, Aiden Jennings (Daniel Cosgrove) proposed to Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) on Days of Our Lives. As the duo reminisced about their disastrous first date over a candlelit dinner, Aiden told Hope, "Every day, I've fallen more and more in love with you. Hope, I never want that to end." He then brandished a diamond ring and popped the question.

In 2018 on General Hospital, the dual role storyline played by Jon Lindstrom heated up as Kevin Collins paid a visit to his psychotic brother, Ryan Chamberlain, at Ferncliff and Ryan managed to knock him unconscious. This was a major turning point in a saga that would unfold over several months, as Ryan switched places with his twin, and while posing as Kevin, not only went free but unleashed enormous havoc on Port Charles — committing multiple murders, seducing Ava Jerome and more.

In 2020 on General Hospital, Carly (Laura Wright, r.) was in stunned disbelief after she lost her grip on Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier), who plunged to her presumed death. Jax came upon Carly and when he heard the story of how Carly had tried to save Nelle, he was concerned that the police wouldn't believe that Carly wasn't responsible for her nemesis's fall. He persuaded Carly that the best thing for her to do was to tell the cops as little as possible and let them try to find Nelle.

In 2024 on Young and Restless, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) angrily blasted Adam (Mark Grossman) after learning that he'd had a one-night stand with his ex, Chelsea Lawson, and had been lying to her about it. Adam begged her to reconsider and declared his love, but she wasn't budging and still intended to walk out on him for good. Courtney Hope told Soaps in Depth, "She loses it for sure,. She’s lied to, she’s frustrated, she’s angry. She’s, more than anything, hurt and gutted."
