Marlena (Deidre Hall) wants to make sure Paul (Christopher Sean) looks just right before he walks down the aisle to the man he loves. Paul has recently lost his father, John — who was the love of Marlena’s life — but his presence is still very much felt as so many members of his family gather to witness this happy event.

Paul had been unlucky in love until meeting and falling for Andrew (Colton Little). Now the two are pledging their love in front of their respective families. It’s a moment that helps lift the spirits of all who are gathered after the sadness of having to say good-bye to John Black.

Alongside Marlena and Belle are Carrie (Christie Clark) and Sami's son Will (Chandler Massey), whom Paul was once head over heels in love with. They still care about each other, although Will is happily married to another of Paul's exes, Sonny Kiriakis.

Carrie returned to Salem to say good-bye to John. While he wasn't her biological father (though everyone thought he was for a few years), he played a pivotal role in raising her. And even though Anna is Carrie's biological mom, it was Marlena who spent the most time with her during her formative years. Carrie makes it clear how much she loves and appreciates Marlena.

Carrie, Will and Belle spend some quality time together at the Brady Pub. Will knows how much trouble his mom, Sami, had caused for both of her sisters, and likely considers himself to be quite lucky that both of his aunts still adore him unconditionally.

Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) appear to be reading One Stormy Night while in bed together. They have no idea that the steamy novel was actually written by their daughter, Stephanie. When they do find out, looking back on this moment may prove to be quite awkward.
