Kevin met up with Mac at Crimson Lights, but wasn’t sure he wanted to hear her “big news.” She teased him about what it could be, and made him take some guesses. Finally, she revealed that Sharon changed her mind and is willing to sell them the coffeehouse; the future business partners toasted with lemonade. J.T. again invited Mac to work with him, but she informed him that she and Kevin will be going into business together. She and Kevin decided to go to Scott’s party together to celebrate.

At the gym, Victoria was annoyed to see Brad chatting with Sharon. She interrupted them by asking Brad to help her work out, then flirted with him by showing off how strong she is. Sharon rolled her eyes as she watched her co-workers in action, and left. Later, Victoria told Brad that she’s concerned about the fact that he still has stock in Jabot. Brad said he’d sell when he’s ready.

Nikki, still recovering from her panic attack, lied to Victor that she’s feeling fine. She was concerned about J.T. doing work for Victor, but Vic was confident that the young man would do well. Nikki and Victor then began talking about their upcoming cruise, with Nikki declaring it would be,”Nine days in heaven.” The Newmans started to kiss, but Sharon interrupted them with the news that she’d sold Crimson Lights. Sharon also reported that Victoria and Brad work well together, but bristled when Nikki suggested that her daughter and Brad are a “good match.”

After speaking with Yolanda, Neil caught up with Devon and Dru. Neil explained that sometimes it takes a while for an addict to realize he or she needs to go to rehab, and that Yolanda is in good hands. He and Dru urged Devon to worry about himself for a change. They wanted to take Devon out to dinner, but the teen insisted on visiting his mom instead.

Gina hired Jennifer (really Sheila in disguise) for Lauren’s party. After, Gina happily reported to Lauren that the plans for the party were going well. Soon, a dressed-up Scott arrived and met up with his mom and Michael. An angry Sheila eavesdropped as the three of them joked around. Next, John and Gloria showed up for the dinner. Sheila became annoyed when Gina actually expected her to do her job and serve people. Michael took Gloria aside and asked if she’d heard from Tom. Gloria quickly changed the subject and began talking about Kevin. Lauren then announced that it was time to eat; Sheila continued to glare at the gang as they dug in. Lauren toasted Scott, and told John she’s happy they’re finally going to be family. “This is going to be the beginning of a very special time in our lives,” she stated. Michael then made a speech to Scott: “Once you get to know us, you’ll wonder what the hell your mother was thinking.” He and Lauren announced that their wedding is going to be on October 28, 2005. Sheila became upset when Scott stated that he might not want to return to Toronto. Soon, Gloria noticed “Jennifer” lurking by their table and began to choke.
