Who Is Deke — Formerly Known as Little Eric — on Bold and Beautiful?
As soon as Deke arrived on Bold and Beautiful, fans were naturally curious about the new character. But the reveal that he’s actually Deacon’s son, Little Eric, all grown up, had many wondering about his history on the soap, and that’s where we come in! Debuting back in 1999, the character was played by twins Brett and Jon Wirta until 2002. Connor Carmody took over for a stint in 2003, and when the kid appeared on sister soap Young and Restless for a handful of episodes in 2010, the role was played by Field Cate. Now, Little Eric is back on B&B and an adult going by the name of Deke Sharpe, played by actor Harrison Cone, who debuted on September 16, 2025.
In the Beginning
Little Eric was born in April 1999 to Becky Moore, who didn’t want to raise the child on her own after the father had run out on her. Becky’s aunt, Tawny, decided that instead of being adopted by strangers, she would give the baby to Tawny’s own daughter, Becky’s cousin, Amber Moore, whose baby had been stillborn. A grieving Amber went along with the plan and passed off the infant as Rick Forrester’s child, who was subsequently named Eric Forrester III and nicknamed Little Eric.
When Becky learned that the little boy Amber was raising was actually her own son, which came to light via the child’s distinctive birthmark, she changed her mind about giving him up. Though she wanted her son back, Amber convinced her that Little Eric was better raised by two parents instead of just one. But as time went on, Becky could not get past her strong pull to the baby and demanded that Amber come clean about Little Eric’s true identity. When she did so, a furious Rick dumped Amber, and Becky regained custody of her son. She settled in Los Angeles and fell for Rick’s best bud, C.J. Garrison. Becky was then tragically diagnosed with terminal cancer, and she passed away after tying the knot with C.J. The widower was given custody of Little Eric, and he and Amber raised the boy together as they unexpectedly fell in love.

Deciding that he wanted Amber back, Rick brought Little Eric’s father, Deacon Sharpe, to Los Angeles to take custody of the child. Deacon began calling the boy “Little D” and pursued a relationship with Amber, but she was still hung up on Rick. Eventually, Deacon married Macy Alexander, and they raised “Little D” until she passed away. Later, Deacon mentioned that he’d sent his son to live with his grandparents, Joe and Tilly Moore. In 2010, a pre-teen Eric showed up in Genoa City looking for Amber, and they left town together.
All Grown Up
In September 2025, a young man named Deke entered Remy Price’s apartment and was surprised to see his boyfriend with Luna Nozawa, who was supposed to be dead. Deke insisted that Remy get the murderer out of their place, and later hoped he wasn’t keeping any other crazy secrets. He explained he was determined to become a designer at Forrester Creations and didn’t want anything to get in the way.

Later, Deke went to visit his father at Il Giardino, and while Deacon had no problems with his son’s sexuality, he did complain that Deke hadn’t been around enough. He also wanted Deke to take over the restaurant, but realized his son still wanted to be a designer. But that was nothing compared to the shock Deacon got when Deke revealed that Luna was still alive!
