The Five Most Utterly Unhinged Characters in Bold and Beautiful History
For a second there, it looked like Luna was genuinely turning over a new leaf on Bold and Beautiful after the murder charges against her were dropped and her record was cleared. But while her grandmother, Sheila, seems to have made a fresh start after a veritable life of crime, Luna’s latest antics show that she is careening straight over the edge once again. Of course, Sheila and Luna have some company when it comes to unstable characters who have terrorized the folks on B&B. Here are our picks for the five Los Angeles citizens whose wild actions will most live on in infamy!
Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown)

In addition to her reign of terror on sister soap Young and Restless that included drugging and seducing Scott, stealing Lauren’s newborn baby, and later holding her hostage, Sheila proved just as dangerous upon settling down in Los Angeles. She tampered with Bridget’s paternity test, drugged Eric, and spiked Macy’s drink to knock her off the wagon. Sheila also tried to kill James with a fireplace poker but settled for kidnapping him. She nearly drowned Lauren in a hot tub and Stephanie in the pool, held Eric, Stephanie, Brooke, Ridge, Lauren, and James at gunpoint, shot Stephanie, killed a man with a swarm of bees, shot Brooke and Taylor, convinced Sugar to have surgery to look like her to to take her place in prison, and shot her son, Finn, and his wife, Steffy. And that’s just the highlights of her extensive rap sheet!
Morgan DeWitt (Sarah Buxton)

This Forrester model-turned-designer was obsessed with having a baby with Ridge after Stephanie had pushed her to abort the one she’d conceived with him when she was younger. This led an increasingly unstable Morgan to do all kinds of crazy things like attempting to kill Clarke with a snake, kidnapping a very young Steffy and dying the child’s hair red to pretend she was her own daughter, trying to drown Stephanie, and threatening to shoot Taylor. After being arrested, Morgan was locked up in an asylum, but upon her release, returned to her old ways. Discovering that Ridge was suffering from amnesia, she spirited him away to Venice in the hopes of convincing him they were a couple so she could finally get the baby she’d always dreamed of!
Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer)

Later in life, Quinn settled down to be just a bit of a schemer, even marrying Eric, but when she first arrived on the scene, she was nothing but trouble! She jabbed both Bill and Liam in their throats with the small sword necklaces that they wore, and threatened Liam with a full-size blade in the hopes of getting him out of her son, Wyatt’s, life! Quinn also hung Aly over a second-story railing and later pushed her into the River Seine. Not only did she trap Liam in a steam room and cranked up the heat to dangerous levels, but when he was suffering from amnesia, Quinn kept him captive in a cabin and convinced him they were married. Then, when Deacon urged her to return Liam to his family, she pushed the guy off a cliff!
Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson)

A lot of Thomas’s earlier criminal actions were directed at his rival, Rick Forrester. He tried to set his house on fire, blew up his car, and pushed him out a window! He also got into fist fights with both his father, Ridge, as well as Liam. Plus, there was all the lying and deceiving he did in an attempt to convince Hope to marry him, even sinking so low as to manipulate his son, Douglas, into helping out. And who can forget when he stole a mannequin from Forrester Creations because it resembled his obsession and then began having conversations and making out with it? It was later discovered that Thomas was suffering from a brain tumor, which explained his later unstable behavior, but perhaps not his earlier violent outbursts.
Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada)

Forrester intern Luna seemed like a total sweetheart as she dated R.J. and endeared herself to his family, but the search for her biological father set off something in the young woman that turned her to the dark side in a flash. It was soon revealed that she had only pretended to be high when she cheated on R.J. with Zende, and faked a paternity test to make it seem like Bill was her dad. When it looked as though Tom Starr was her real father, she killed the guy and subsequently murdered Hollis because he found out what she’d done. She then framed her own mother, Poppy, for the killings and kissed Bill when it was publicly revealed she wasn’t his daughter. When Steffy stumbled upon the truth, Luna drugged her and locked her in a cage so she’d die when the building was demolished. Although she was brought to justice, Bill pulled some strings and somehow got all the charges dropped. While Luna then appeared to be turning over a new leaf and desperately wanting a relationship with her real father, Finn, she was also plotting to take an interfering Steffy out of the picture once and for all!
