Tamara Braun Drops Big Clue About Her Young and Restless Role, Sienna, As First Airdate Is Revealed
As previously reported, soap vet Tamara Braun has been tapped to play the role of Sienna Bacall on Young and Restless. The new issue of TV Guide contains an interview with the actress that reveals her start date, as well as drops a big hint about her new character’s storyline.
L.A. Confidential
Braun has been making her way across the daytime dial since she made her soap debut on General Hospital back in 2001 as the first recast of Carly Corinthos. She remained with the ABC sudser through 2005, then made her way to NBC’s Days of Our Lives in 2008 in the role of Ava Vitali, earning her first Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress. Later in 2008, she headed back to ABC, this time on All My Children, where she played architect Reese Williams. Braun returned to DAYS for a 2011 stint as Taylor Walker, then, from 2015-16, reprised her previous Salem alter ego, Ava. In 2017, she took on her second GH character, Kim Nero, who she played for a two years, winning a second Daytime Emmy in the Supporting Actress category. From 2020-25, she made another DAYS comeback as Ava.
Her Y&R casting marks Braun’s first appearance on a CBS soap, and her first date on the air will be October 14. In her chat with TV Guide, Braun revealed of Sienna, “She runs a club in Hollywood. There’s mystery there, which I think is a really cool way to introduce a character — and very fitting for a soap.”

Braun isn’t the only new hire poised to make waves on Y&R this fall — her one-time DAYS son, Lucas Adams (ex-Tripp), has been cast as the new Noah Newman, while two of her former GH co-stars, Roger Howarth (ex-Todd; ex-Franco; ex-Austin) and Matt Cohen (ex-Griffin), have also been hired by the show. Y&R hasn’t released any details about who Howarth will be playing, though it has been revealed that Cohen’s character is named Detective Burrows.
Speaking to TV Insider, Executive Producer/Head Writer Josh Griffith divulged earlier this month that the quartet of stars will all be part of a new mystery, one he called a “major L.A. noir story” that pivots around Nick and Sharon’s efforts to rescue their son, Noah, from “a very dangerous situation that will involve Tamara and Roger’s characters.”
Now, we know that story will be based, at least in part, at the Hollywood club run by Sienna. As longtime Y&R fans will recall, Noah is a club impresario himself. In 2022, he opened Genoa City’s Glam Club — and it was such a success that in 2023, he left for London to open a second location.
