SOAP STARS ON DANCING WITH THE STARS TONIGHT
DANCING WITH THE STARS kicks off its 19th season tonight on ABC, with not one, but two soap alums on the roster. Both Antonio Sabato, Jr. (ex-Jagger, GH, et al) and Jonathan Bennett (ex-J.R., AMC) will be hoofing their way to the mirror ball trophy — at least they hope so. For his part, Sabato is determined to give it all and enjoy the ride.
“I’ve just got to keep working hard and listening to Cheryl [Burke, his dance partner and two-time champ] and watching the videos of ourselves rehearsing and staying healthy and smile and have a good time,” the actor tells Digest. “You can take the competition seriously but at some point, you really have to have fun. I want to keep smiling and enjoying it, whether I’m there for one dance or the whole thing. It’s been a long time coming and now I’m finally here."
DANCING WITH THE STARS premieres tonight, Monday, Sept. 15, at 8 p.m., ET on ABC.
