Soap Alum Chrisell Stause Reveals Split From Partner G Flip
Soap alum Chrishell Stause announced in an emotional Instagram video that her four-year relationship with Australian musician G Flip has come to an end.
Chrishell Stause and G Flip Break Up
“I have a pretty humbling update to share with you guys,” Stause said in a video posted to Instagram. “G and I are no longer together. And we have agreed to treat this public separation with love and respect for each other. That’s not hard for me because I am in love with this person.”
Addressing her fans directly, Stause explained that she recorded a video because she felt they deserved a more personal explanation instead of a “cold written statement.”
The actress admitted that she lacked answers about what caused the split, “I don’t have all the information or the reasons, and I’m sure just like always, with time, you get the lessons you’re meant to get. And I know that will happen and I’m gonna heal, and everything’s gonna be fine.”
With a rueful chuckle, she added, “I’m definitely never doing this again.”
Stause, who played Amanda Dillon on All My Children from 2005 to 2011, Jordan Ridgeway on Days of our Lives from 2013 to 2015 and again in 2019, 2020 and 2021, and Bethany Bryant on The Young and the Restless in 2016, is no stranger to public relationships.
From 2006 until 2007, she was involved with Glee star Matthew Morrison (ex-Adam Munson, As the World Turns), but Stause broke off their engagement. She was later linked to Graham Bunn, an alum of The Bachelorette.
Stause got engaged to Y&R alum Justin Hartley (ex-Adam Newman) in 2016 after a three-year relationship. They wed in 2017, but he filed for divorce in 2019.
Following her divorce from Hartley, Stause — who was a contestant on Dancing With the Stars in 2020 — dated DWTS pro dancer Keo Motsepe for a few months in late 2020 and early 2021.
Stause then dated Jason Oppenheim, her boss and co-star on Netflix’s real estate reality TV hit Selling Sunset, in 2021, but the relationship fizzled in late 2021.

Stause met G Flip in 2021, but they did not begin dating until the following year. Stause confirmed that they were together on the 5th season reunion of Selling Sunset in May 2022.
In May 2023, Stause and G Flip shared that they exchanged vows in Las Vegas in July 2022, but the union was not legally binding. They renewed their vows in Australia in July 2024.
At the midpoint of her video, Stause grew emotional and cried as she admitted how difficult the breakup has been and how she needed to take time to heal from the “painful” split. Describing herself as “a lover girl” who swings big and occasionally misses, she tried to be optimistic as she looked to the future.
“Maybe these are the lives and seasons you’re meant to have with people, and I had an amazing over four years with G,” Stause declared. “So maybe that’s not a miss. You know? Maybe it’s just coming to terms with it being a different ending than you had imagined.”
In the conclusion of her video, Stause said, “I will always love G, and I don’t ever really see that changing. And this sucks, but everyone deserves to be happy, and I wish that for both of us.”
