Real-Life Family Tragedy for Young and Restless Star Lucas Adams

Comments

A drunk driver caused a crash that could have killed the sister of Young and Restless star Lucas Adams (Noah) the weekend of November 15. In his Instagram Stories, the actor shared a photo of the totaled vehicle by some trees on the side of the road and explained that his sister, Audrie Farris, was seriously injured when the vehicle she and her husband were in was struck.

The Road to Recovery

“My sister was hit head-on by a drunk driver over the weekend,” Adams reported in his post. “Thankfully, she is going to be okay, but has a long road ahead of her as her hip and foot were broken. Her and her husband Josh have eight kids and could use all the help they can get to get through this. I’m sharing her Venmo, if you can or would like to support them, I know they would very much appreciate it.”

Of course, this being the Internet, it wasn’t long before a scammer tried to take advantage of the family crisis by creating an impostor Venmo account with a slightly different spelling in the hopes of tricking people into sending money their way instead.

“Sadly, someone is trying to exploit the situation and created a fake account,” Adams updated in his Stories shortly after posting the actual Venmo QR code. “If you are planning to donate, please be sure to choose ‘audriefarris’ all lowercase with one ‘s.’”

Adams made his daytime debut as a day player in a 2012 episode of Y&R before landing the role of Dr. Tripp Dalton on Days of Our Lives, earning two Daytime Emmy Award nominations before his exit in 2019. He reprised the role in 2020 and remained with the soap until 2024. He then returned to Y&R as a recast of Noah Newman, making his first appearance in the November 4 episode.
