Meet PASSIONS’s Adrian Wilson

Comments

Soap Opera Digest: When did you move to Los Angeles?
Adrian Wilson: I moved to L.A. just before Christmas last year from New York, where I was living for about 8 years.

Digest: Do you like it?
Wilson: I’m loving L.A. Before I moved here permanently, I used to come out on business every now and again. I got a taste of the West Coast. Being from Capetown, South Africa, it’s more like home. We’ve got the beach and the weather is always good. It’s more my speed.

Digest: And it’s much more laid-back than New York.
Wilson: Yes, it definitely is.

Digest: Is working on a soap what you expected?
Wilson: I knew it was going to be hard work. You have to get up pretty early in the morning. It’s a nice challenge and I’m really enjoying the work.
Digest: I heard McKenzie Westmore (Sheridan) showed you the ropes.
Wilson: Damn straight she did!

Digest: Are you going to watch your first episode?
Wilson: I’m working that day, but a friend of mine will TiVo it, so I’ll watch it when I get home.

Digest: Were you confident walking off the set that day?
Wilson: The first couple of days, I think I was just trying to get my script straight and see how the machine that is PASSIONS works. I’m sure that my performances will be minimal at best.

Digest: Are there any similarities between you and your character?
Wilson: PASSIONS has kept Christopher’s character under wraps and have only told me things I need to know, which is apparently not that much [laughs]. He’s a dark, mysterious kind of guy.

Digest: Are you dark and mysterious?
Wilson: Um … I think I’m a little more transparent than that [laughs].

Digest: The ladies are going to want to know: Are you married?
Wilson: I am married. I got married about three months ago. I’m enjoying the post-marital bliss.

Digest: Wow, so a lot has changed in your life recently.
Wilson: Yeah, a lot of changes in the last year. It’s been a very eventful year, to say the least.
