Meet GH’s Chloe Lanier
Chloe Lanier, who made a splash as Young Pat in GH’s Emmy-winning anniversary episode in 2015, is now comfortably settling into her new Port Charles alter ego, Nelle. “She is more modern than the other one,” Lanier teases. “Nelle actually has an iPhone!” Having a little GH experience under her belt did not quell her jitters this time around. “I’m going to be honest with you: I was having panic attacks for about a week before I started shooting,” Lanier reports. “It was just all those weird doubts that actors get before they start a new job. They flood your mind and you have to try to purge yourself of all that and go, ‘You know what? I’m here for a reason. This is what I love to do.’ “ The actress, a Texas native who has been in Los Angeles for three-and-a-half years, has another reason to celebrate her new gig: “I’ve waited tables and hosted and done kids’ parties, but this is pretty much the first time I’ve been able to just act and not have a side job.
